Blue Fish
Okay, I accident brought this online, I clicked the wrong thumbnail!! remember folks, always check your orders...Anyway, I was wondering, is it a good film or not? Should I be bothered to sit down and watch it? What's it like? Any comments on it? or ratings as a film?
daslied
It's the most powerful movie I've ever seen. It's about the Holocaust, so it's disturbing, heart-wrenching, dark and depressing. It's also in black and white. If you get through it do not skip the end credits. 200/10.
The Seeker
I've been wanting to watch it for ages, but repeatedly missed it when it was on TV.

Jenny
Be prepared to cry. I don't like to cry in public, but this movie made me sob like a baby. It is powerful and intense. I have not watched it again since the first time I saw it in the theater, but once my child is old enough, I'm going to make her sit and watch it with me. edna
I must be the only person who didn´t see that movie and I wouldn´t watch it unless somebody gave me two million dollars.
Shawna
wow, Edna, you're cheap. I saw it years and years ago, and thought it was superbly done and acted. Hard story, though. Very tough. But part of history, unless you subscribe to Mel Gibson's dad's ideas.
edna
wow, Edna, you're cheap. You´re right. Make it 5 millions plus a mansion with a luxury swimming pool in the South of Spain.

Its seriously that damn good! Yes i Cried. But i also cried at Fox and the Hound. Does that make me a crybaby, or just in touch with my feminine side. You have to see that movie because you know very little or nothing at all about WWII and all what happened in Germany and Europe since 1939 till 1945. I guess nobody talked to you about it so it´s a necessary class of History for you.
Kevin
Oddly now , mention of that movie more easily brings up rememberances of that episode of "Seinfeld " where Jerry caught hell from his parents for making out with his girlfriend while it was playing .... " Newman ! ( :beady: ) "

I guess nobody talked to you about it so it´s a necessary class of History for you. This is true. People my age have lost the right to know about history, it's all forwards! Onwards and upwards don't look back! sort of thing..yeah, uh, i'll stop now...
Farin
People my age have lost the right to know about history, it's all forwards! maybe it's different in different countrys, but I myself wouldn't want to lose that right...
edna
I lived in three different countries and we always had the right to learn History (though it´s true that sometimes it would have some make-up on it...) Besides, that chapter is widely known. I think it´s rather parent´s fault when it comes to ignore such basic points.
Blue Fish
We can learn dry history, but not about the culture, life, meaning, impact or anything like that. We can learn dates, names of dead kings and names of wars but not much else about them. Thats what happens in most of our history lessons... Jenny
This will definitely put a human face on history for you, Blue Fish. It's not a movie for everyone, or one to watch casually. You need to have the time and the mood. "Schindler's List" and "Saving Private Ryan" actually made me sick to my stomach, but everyone needs that once in a while. If we didn't get disgusted by man's inhumanity to man, we would become like Pol Pot, Hitler or Saddam....
Blue Fish
I'm gonna watch it on Saturday after classes. I weep so easy, by the sounds of it I'll be sobbing by the end
