Lucky Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 one scratching his head the other scratching his crotch?
OLD 55 Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Posted April 4, 2006 (edited) O.K. CeeCee, I can't top that one ! We had a very hot (for Autumn) minimum of 70F last night and I didn't sleep too well. My brain's still a bit slower than usual, but after about 3 attempts at adding up I have a Top Ten. I won't close it just yet, because a couple still have a chance to vote. It's very, very close. Nos. 1 and 2 are fairly clearcut, but there's only (literally) one point each between 3,4,5,6,7. That's amazing after 1320 Points have been allocated (24 voters @ 55 Points each). Thanks to all who have participated in OUR Top Ten ! VOTING IS NOW CLOSED Edited April 4, 2006 by Guest CLOSED !

edna Posted April 4, 2006 Report Posted April 4, 2006 (edited) I mean, for "Gimme Shelter". And also the best Stones concert in a movie. Edited April 4, 2006 by Guest
OLD 55 Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Posted April 4, 2006 Mick will probably arrive on a bus using his Seniors' Concession ticket. I hope he still rocks for you. Enjoy, Katie ! I reckon it'll be great. ................................................. Hi Edna ! The Stones still rule after all these years.
OLD 55 Posted April 4, 2006 Author Report Posted April 4, 2006 Chart #2 Wednesday 5th April 2006 1. GIMME SHELTER - THE ROLLING STONES 2. RESPECT - ARETHA FRANKLIN 3. NIGHT MOVES - BOB SEGER AND THE SILVER BULLET BAND 4. ROCK AND ROLL - LED ZEPPELIN 5. THE WEIGHT - THE BAND 6. AQUALUNG - JETHRO TULL 7. TRY A LITTLE TENDERNESS - OTIS REDDING 8. REVOLUTION - THE BEATLES 9. LET'S STAY TOGETHER - AL GREEN 10. CECILIA - SIMON AND GARFUNKEL .................................................. Please share your thoughts on our Chart with us. I think it's a nice mix of Rock and Ballads. 70s (6) and 60s (4) again dominated. We still haven't had a 50s or 80s song ! Someone will have to think up a few good ones to nominate. Please hold the nominations for Top Ten #3 for a day so we can absorb this one first though ! I think the only song above not on Songfacts' data base is #9, so if you can help Peaches out with info about it, that would be great. THANKS FOR PARTICIPATING ! I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have.
