OLD 55
I won't live long enough to use all the songs on my Lista. Although a few others with similar tastes have put some on for me. P.S. In case you're wondering, rt sent ne a PT when he saw that Lovin' Spoonful's "Daydream" was nominated: Darryl how about I go with "The End" by The Doors. I will use "Summer in the City" for next week. I'll vote for that next time rt Edited April 21, 2006 by Guest NOMINATION.

OLD 55
Hi Edna and Farin. Nice to see some friendly faces. I'll close the nominations tomorrow morning (my time here - it's 7.40 PM Friday now), and then we can vote on Top Ten #6. Unless there's some songs I really like nominated in that time, I have my Ten already. I just have to put them in order.

RonJonSurfer
I'm far too lazy to do this, but with 50 songs on the hit lists already, what is the percentage breakdown by decade of release? It looks like the 70's and 60's might be neck and neck...
Steel2Velvet
A good use of this database would be to find the Songfactor(s) with musical taste(s) most closely aligned to one's own. I don't write programs, but it seems it would be easy enough to feed data into a program (or do it manually by the initiate) that assigns a numerical value to other's placement in their final top ten of initiate's two nominations. Then factor in where the initiate places the nominations of others into initiate's own top ten (using a similar numerical device) and the resultant totals should indicate the degree of proximity in musical taste to other participants in this poll as interpreted by the highest number collated.
