Been thinking about this since the other day when Peaches said that Al Green gives her chills even though she has heard the song many times...I get you on that one Peachy!! So is there an artist that when they sing you just get a chill? Is it every song or maybe just a certain on? For me it is a few artists...

Al Green

Teddy Pendergrass

Janis {Summertime}

The Stylistics {You are Everything}

Vince Gill

John Lennon

Agree on the Jeff Buckley's "Hallelujah", and also Leonard Cohens.

Bird York makes me really emotional, and her voice is spine-tingling on most tracks.

Enya, with the 'Shepherd Moons' album is chilling as well.

Mary Chapin Carpenter - Rhythm Of The Blues and That's Real

Jane Olivor - Weeping Willows, Cattails and You're The One I Love

John Fogerty - Deja Vu All Over Again

Ian Matthews of Matthews Southern Comfort singing Joni Mitchell's "Woodstock"

These are all I can think of off the top of my head.

for me it's never just everything by an artist, but certain songs.

"He Thinks He'll Keep Her" ~ Mary Chapin Carpenter

"Independence Day" ~ Martina McBride

"Edge of Seventeen" and "Silver Springs" ~ Stevie Nicks (I love where her voice breaks a little in Edge of Seventeen "I'm a few years older than you.... my love...")

"Your Name On A Grain of Rice" ~ Roger Clyne

"Fast Cars and Freedom" and "These Days" ~ Rascal Flatts

and - get ready for the cheese -

"Rock Me Gently" ~ Andy Kim

"St. Elmo's Fire" ~ John Parr

Roy Orbison's dramatic soaring slides from high register to falsetto.

When the song is not in the solo parts, the Everly Brothers ultra tight harmonies on each and every note.

Celine Dion singing Oh Holy Night.

Elvis's final notes on It's Now Or Never.

Jay Black singing Cara Mia.

Definitely Jay Black and Cara Mia

Bobby Hatfield Unchained Melody

Dennis Yost and the Classic's IV

The Beatles Let it Be

Don Mclean American Pie

Santo and Johnny Sleep Walking This brings me to tears every time I watch La Bamba and they play this in the last scene when the news comes out about the plane crash with Buddy, and the Big Bopper.
