Elvish Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Peachy, are you gonna forgive your man for singing a Creed song?
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 My cable went out last night, so I didn't see it, but I've heard the reports. I suppose he can't be absolutely spectacular every week, but Creed? Why, Chris, why?
Elvish Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 If it helps, no one was really spectacular. At least in my opinion...
rtstuff Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 A very average performance by all. One of my 10th grade girls in class this morning said that Taylor is "sexy". rtstuff
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 My bestest friend Mags was kind enough to go home and get the tape so I could watch it here at work (I love my job, by the way). I've got one word...meh. Nobody, including my beloved bald Chris, did anything for me. I do like that Mandisa sang a gospel song and I thought she was good. But as a whole, in the words of the contemporary urban philosopher Randy Jackson, it was just a-ight for me, dawg.
_Laurie_ Posted March 29, 2006 Author Report Posted March 29, 2006 I liked hearing Taylor just actually sing without all the whooo's and hey's...other wise to quote Paula "song selection is key"
_Laurie_ Posted March 29, 2006 Author Report Posted March 29, 2006 and little miss "I'm a mink" Kelly Pickle...ehh the DJ on the radio today said try listening to her sing without looking at her, and you'll hear it's not all that great...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 29, 2006 Report Posted March 29, 2006 Yeah, Kellie's as dumb as a box of rocks, but she is cute. She can't be as country as all of that...I'm convinced that some of it has got to be an act. And Taylor has gone through a subtle makeover. I don't care what good intentions these contestants start out with, the American Idol machine will change you no matter what.
Levis Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Without giving away the results for B-F, I'll just give my opinion here. I figured out that The One Who Went, would go, and I had already made my predictions about the bottom 3. One, two... as I said... but THREE? I can't believe they picked That One and didn't pick The Other One! I expected The Other One to be gone... or second lowest votes actually, because I expected The One Who Went to go. But to not have The Other One show up at all??? Weird! And that was a little strange to type out without using any nouns or gendered pronouns. I hope you appreciate this, B-F.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 You are entirely too funny, Radhi-ji! I knew exactly what and who you were talking about. And of course, you are correct on all counts.
Levis Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 WHY? I mean why didn't they pick The Other One and why did they pick That One. Not Why am I correct, or Why am I funny Thanks Sri Peaches!
Tenacious_Peaches Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 I know! And next week is The Other One's genre, so that person is just about guaranteed another week. It's a conspiracy, I tell you.
Elvish Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It's those folks at votefortheworst. The Other One is getting Chicken Little's votes...
Elvish Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 Or not. Seems they're voting for Kellie Pickler...
rtstuff Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It seems to me they are voting for Bucky "I can't carry a tune", Covington. rtstuff
Elvish Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 It seems to me they are voting for Bucky "I can't carry a tune", Covington. rtstuff Nope, according to the site they're voting for Kellie: Click here...
steel magnolia Posted March 31, 2006 Report Posted March 31, 2006 All of Bucky's kin folk are voting for him.
SoulGirl Posted April 1, 2006 Report Posted April 1, 2006 i just saw the show. taylor sang a ray la montagne song - ray is my new musical love! taylor did a great job too! it was totally an eh show! paris, taylor and elliott were great! what was with ace and his scar - sad!!!
Levis Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Ace looks lke a boy-bander with an identity crisis
Levis Posted April 2, 2006 Report Posted April 2, 2006 Nope, according to the site they're voting for Kellie: Click here... This is what I found The producers also profited from a "Worst of American Idol" DVD set last year. That is just sad
Batman Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 I haven't been watching, but that one contestant is hot!
SoulGirl Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 katharine - she really is goooooorgeous! and a great singer!!! peaches honey, i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry but i was very disappointed with chris's performance. i hope he will be back on form next week!
steel magnolia Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 Ace looks lke a boy-bander with an identity crisis Radhi, you kill me. That was the funniest thing I have ever heard.
Elvish Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 I would sooo love to hear Katherine sing a Susan Tedeschi song
Tenacious_Peaches Posted April 3, 2006 Report Posted April 3, 2006 peaches honey, i'm sorry i'm sorry i'm sorry but i was very disappointed with chris's performance. i hope he will be back on form next week! I've decided to think of Chris' last performance as a symbolic sorbet to cleanse the palate between courses. He was so spectacular every week that he had nothing to come back from. I have the utmost faith that he will come back swinging this week and redeem himself. He had to falter a little bit so we could appreciate him all over again. And even if he sucks, he can still stand there with his mouth shut and let me rub that gorgeous bald head of his. Elvy, Katharine singing Susan would be excellent. She's got a great voice, even if she stank up the joint last week.
