RonJonSurfer 15
Who doesn't remember this guy? Dunkin' Donuts actor dies Michael Vale, the actor best known for his portrayal of a sleepy-eyed Dunkin' Donuts baker who said "Time to make the doughnuts," died on Dec. 24. He was 83. Vale died in New York City of complications from diabetes. Vale's long-running character, "Fred the Baker," for the doughnut maker's ad campaign lasted 15 years until he retired in 1997. RonJonSurfer 15
They dont have Dunkin Donuts in Alabama...it makes me sad... What is the doughnut place of choice in Alabama? I've had Winchell's in California and they were good. Krispy Kreme's are good. I've had them in Florida, Nevada, New York and NJ....
PSYCHOcatholic 0
There no place but Krispy Kreme! They are open 24/7 here. I still miss the dunkin donuts though...the coffee and little munchkin donuts. And Krispy Kreme has a very limited choice of donuts.

Tenacious_Peaches 0
I grew up with Dunkin' Donuts but currently live in Krispy Kreme-land. Both are wonderful, but my heart belongs to DD. RIP "Mr. Time to make the donuts" guy.
Jenny 2
I liked the one commercial where he dressed up as a woman, but still had the moustache, so he covered it up with his index finger. (in womanly voice with finger on his moustache)"Are your donuts made fresh daily like at Dunkin Donuts?" (kid at supermarket bakery counter) "No... (gives him a once-over)...ma'am"
