Sarah_Star Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Hahaha!! Nooo!!! I work with foster kids!! Although that is a good suggestion for those with pesky younger siblings!!
edna Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 I remember what I have..!! Some Cokes and a box of cookies just in case...
edna Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Yes, you know, we might be trapped in a traffic jam, or have a need of sugar on the road...
Uncle Joe Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Need for sugar? Then YOU should be in the trunk.
Carl Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I have nothing in my boot, but then again, it's a new boot. I should point out that we Americans would ordinarily refer to it as a "trunk," but this is a British car, so it gets the boot:
MarcM Posted October 26, 2005 Author Report Posted October 26, 2005 Not a lot of space in the back of a Mini S. You may be able to fit a copy of Rolling Stone between the back of the rear seat and the lift gate, as long as it is not a special edition of RS! Cool car, by the way, Carl! I test drove one when they first came out and it was a blast!
edna Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Need for sugar? Then YOU should be in the trunk. No pretty views from there, Uncle...
katie_sane Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 We call bathing suits 'cossies' or 'swimmers'. Funny we all call them something different! All I have in my boot is an esky that's been in there since the Taralga Rodeo in January.
Sarah_Star Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Whats an esky? There's a 'rap' group out at the moment in Britian and they keep littering their lyrics with that word...(I use 'rap' in a loose term, they are dire)... Please help clear this up for me!!
Earth-Angel Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I thought it was a windproof jacket with a hoodie lined with fur. Like an eskimo kinda jacket.
Tenacious_Peaches Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 This is what I've got in my trunk.
Jenny Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 I have a stroller, jumper cables and a bag of toys that my daughter doesn't play with anymore. And Jimmy Hoffa....
Kevin Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I have nothing in my boot, but then again, it's a new boot. I should point out that we Americans would ordinarily refer to it as a "trunk," but this is a British car, so it gets the boot: British ? Ist Cherman , now , nein ? -- and much improved I've been told .
_Laurie_ Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 This is what I've got in my trunk. Peaches....that's hilarious!...I have that same video along with others on this one site I saved...
edna Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 A MIni isn´t a British car? I thought it was... Austin or Morris... I had a boyfriend who had a Mini and I remember his neighbour had a Rolls Royce.. it was funny to see both cars side by side in the garage...
invisible_r Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 the mini is/was british but the new mini was bought and developed by bmw, so you could say it was german, just not in front of any british person !
edna Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I see... so it was British when it wasn´t bmw... that makes it british for me...
katie_sane Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 I thought Esky's were world wide! Obviously not! An Esky is not a rap group or a coat but an insulated box where you put your drinks and food to keep 'em cool. You guys must call them 'coolers'. The look like this: I can guarentee that no Australian home is without at least one. We have about a dozen, and they're great for taking to rodeos and outdoor events as they keep the beer cold
Sarah_Star Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 Thanks for clearing that up for me Katie. I am still no closer in understanding why a British 'rap' group would litter their verses with that word though. Hmmmmm...?
