_Laurie_ Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 OMG easyrider...i could read it, that is pretty cool...i had something similar, i'll see if i can find it...something about the brain not comprehending the letter f, i think it was, not sure what letter, but anyways you had to count how many, i went over the paragraph 4 times and still it wasnt right!
EasyRider Posted July 4, 2005 Author Report Posted July 4, 2005 Hi Laurie I remember the F thing. Here it is. FINISHED FILES ARE THE RE- SULT OF YEARS OF SCIENTIF- IC STUDY COMBINED WITH THE EXPERIENCE OF YEARS. Now count the F's in that sentence. Count them ONLY ONCE! Then see below... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ANSWER: There are six F's in the sentence. A person of average intelligence finds three of them. If you spotted four, you're above average. If you got five, you can turn your nose at most anybody. If you caught six, you are a genius.
SoulGirl Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 woohoo, i got five - not quite a genius but i still rock!
edna Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 That´s amazing! I knew about the first and last letter in French and in Spanish but I perfectly read it in English too... As for the "f", I payed so much attention that I found... four! Great avatar too, EasyRider!!
_Laurie_ Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Yep that was it Easyrider!....thanks, I counted 3 on my first time
XXX Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 4 Satisfactory for the moment. It's a real struggle for the slow readers
KatieS Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 Well, let's just say it's a good idea to have slept within the past 24 hours before trying that. I only got two. Then again I was scanning it really quickly. Oh well, I'll just be below average then.
_jr_ Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 6. I'm a genius when it comes to counting the letter F
Brad_M Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 ...and I bet you use the letter F as many times at the race track every time jr loses a lap.
Batman Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 I got three. Now I'm embarrassed, because I can't even find the last one. Could someone point them all out?
Brad_M Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 there are 3 in other words and 3 in the 3 times the word "OF" is used. The brain doesn't seem to recognize the letter "F" in the word "of" for some reason. That's why most people find only 3. I found only 4, and when I did it a second time I only found 4 again. The third time I went extra slow and found all 6.
edna Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I found four the first time, knowing there was a trick and finding the"f" in the first "of" but I had to look twice to find two other "of". I am not a genius and I´m getting lazy.
Levis Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I found all 6! I noticed the 'of' in the last line and then went back and counted again! The question kind of gave away the fact that there was something fishy going on
