Earth-Angel Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 That'd be Toploader (most recently in the movie 'A walk to remember') Also done by Scooter, Thin Lizzy, U2 (different lyrics though) and King Harvest. _jr_ Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 Thin Lizzy's is best. Am I right? Of course I am.
nobody_home Posted February 13, 2005 Author Report Posted February 13, 2005 Thanks all. King Harvest was the version I was looking for. I'll check out the other versions, too (well, probably all except for U2 :sleepy:).
edna Posted February 13, 2005 Report Posted February 13, 2005 I love this song!!! I dance it a lot, just as "My baby takes the morning train" by Sheena Easton... Yeah, shame on me, I don´t take candy from strangers lately... Can´t help it, I like it!

RonJonSurfer Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 As teens my friends and I were hard rockers. One of my friends said he really liked this song and the rest of us made fun of him to no end. Secretly though, I thought it was a great song and now I'll admit it publicly.
EasyRider Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 Isn't Van Morrison the singer on the King Harvest version?Seems I heard that somewhere.
Uncle Joe Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 No he isn't. That was one of those cyber rumors that arose when some file sharer on KaZaa mislabeled the song.

windy1 Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 Thin Lizzy....yes best version. This song is infinately suited for dancing and/er well the other dancing.....! ::
johnnyguitar Posted April 14, 2005 Report Posted April 14, 2005 I was in a band and we used to do the Lizzy version, always went down well. One night we were about to play it when two teenage girlies (pissed)decided to moon at the audience and gave us all a treat (the only person who didn't see it was the drummer)...I couldn't resist it so I introduced the song as 'Mooning in the Dancelight'...we went down a storm. Aaaah, memories
