That'd be Toploader (most recently in the movie 'A walk to remember') :)

Also done by Scooter, Thin Lizzy, U2 (different lyrics though) and King Harvest.

Which particular version were you after?

Dancing In The Moonlight

We get it on most every night

when that moon is big and bright

its a supernatural delight

everybodys dancing in the moonlight

we get

everybody here is out of sight

they dont bark and they dont bite

they keep things loose they keep it tight

everybodys dancing in the moonlight

dancing in the moonlight

everybodys feeling warm and bright

its such a fine and natural sight

everybodys dancing in the moonlight

we like our fun and we never fight

you cant dance and stay uptight

its a supernatural delight

everybody was dancing in the moonlight

dancing in the moonlight

everybodys feeling warm and bright

its such a fine and natural sight

everybodys dancing in the moonlight

we get in on most every night

and when that moon is big and bright

its a supernatural delight

everybodys dancing in the moonlight

dancing in the moonlight

everybodys feeling warm and bright

its such a fine and natural sight

everybodys dancing in the moonlight

[repeat and fade]

I love this song!!! I dance it a lot, just as "My baby takes the morning train" by Sheena Easton...

Yeah, shame on me, I don´t take candy from strangers lately...

Can´t help it, I like it!

I thought I was the only one to love 'My Baby Takes The Morning Train' ~ You've restored my faith edna!!

  • 2 months later...

As teens my friends and I were hard rockers. One of my friends said he really liked this song and the rest of us made fun of him to no end. Secretly though, I thought it was a great song and now I'll admit it publicly.

Hey, same thing with me!!!   I was supposed to like only avant-garde music... but I couldn´t help but dance!!!

I was in a band and we used to do the Lizzy version, always went down well. One night we were about to play it when two teenage girlies (pissed)decided to moon at the audience and gave us all a treat (the only person who didn't see it was the drummer)...I couldn't resist it so I introduced the song as 'Mooning in the Dancelight'...we went down a storm. Aaaah, memories
