bazooka
Yes. They are all kind of satirical statements about peoples' perceptions about the "free and easy" working life of professional musicians. [*] If it were easy as fishin' You could be a musician If you could make sounds loud or mellow Get a second-hand guitar Chances are you'll go far If you get in with the right bunch of fellows People see you having fun Just a-lying in the sun Tell them that you like it this way It's the work that we avoid And we're all self-employed We love to work at nothing all day [*] So you want to be a rock and roll star Then listen now to what I say Just get an electric guitar Then take some time and learn how to play And with your hair combed right And your pants fit tight It's gonna be all right ... And in a week or two If you make the charts The girls'll tear you apart [*] Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it You play the guitar on that MTV That ain't workin' that's the way you do it Money for nothin' and your chicks for free Go Laurie. bazooka
Yes. That's it. and Tchaikovsky's "1812" Overture in E Flat Major Op. 49. I think 1921 became '41 in Tommy The Movie because the time frame was shifted from after World War I to post-WWII. Party on, Laurie!
