Uncle Joe Posted September 7, 2004 Report Posted September 7, 2004 The children singing "It's raining, it's pouring..." along with the sax fade-out at the end of Super Tramp's "It's Raining Again".
XXX Posted September 8, 2004 Report Posted September 8, 2004 The droning end of Roxy Music's "The Bogus Man" can be trying to noobs, but it's one of the outros that I recall the most along with "For Your Pleasure"... Brian Eno RULZ
_jr_ Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 All three are outros, and all three are lead solos. Journey ~ Be Good To Yourself Ozzy ~ Bark at the Moon Dire Straits ~ Sultans of Swing. Three great endings.
KISS_ARMY_FREAK Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I would would have to say eather Black Diamond - KISS - because it last forever or Schools out - Alice Cooper -because it is awesome :guitar:
Ken Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 The end of Kiss' 'Deuce', where Ace lets it out, full throttle. Everyone makes jokes about Kiss, but unless you can make it burn like that, then maybe silence is your best friend. I get really weary of people knocking them. A bunch of the younger guys at work rip on me for liking them Iin a friendly way) frequently. I brought in the "Alive II" album and opened it up to the gatefold. Can your favorite band do that? ? No? Then perhaps you may want to go away now... Ken.
rico Posted September 9, 2004 Report Posted September 9, 2004 I'm one of those freaks that actually enjoys revolution #9--truly a creepy ride forwards and backwards. And I like the ending, with the crowd chants at the football game, and the last line, "take this brother may it serve you well." As is said, I'm a freak.
Aunt_Acid Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 Yes, my favorite band can do better than that. Ever hear of The Wall?
Uncle Joe Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 The Doors' Touch Me........stronger than dirt!
MindCrime Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 I agree with Uncle Joe, I also like the ending to "Break on Through" & "People Are Strange"
Earth-Angel Posted September 10, 2004 Report Posted September 10, 2004 I get shivers when I hear the intro to Coldplay's Trouble and Muse's Bliss..... just gorgeous. And Radiohead intro's and outro's
rico Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Lord, of course, Dream On by Aerosmith. Wait, what about Hell Is For Children by Pat Benatar. Yes!
Crovax Posted September 12, 2004 Report Posted September 12, 2004 Intro = Megadeth - Trust OR Tweaker - Doom 3 Theme (Don't doubt it, it's so good) Cheers!
voodoo_8403 Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 'black' by pearl jam (the line 'i kno someday youll have a beautiful life, i kno youll be a star in somebody elses sky, but why, why, why cant it be, why cant it be mine' is one of the best lines ever, and eddies voice is amazing) 'epic' by faith no more 'paint it black' by the rolling stones 'rooster' by alice in chains
Earth-Angel Posted September 15, 2004 Report Posted September 15, 2004 Bittersweet symphony - The Verve
Aunt_Acid Posted September 16, 2004 Report Posted September 16, 2004 Sheep- Pink Floyd. So awesome sounding it is beyond belief. And they just play it so casually like "Yeah, I thought of that."
MindCrime Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 I think it's funny when I see these old threads that I don't remember and find posts that I made in them.
MindCrime Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Yes, my favorite band can do better than that. Ever hear of The Wall? Yes didn't do the Wall
LeeBB Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 (edited) Well all the tracks mentioned do have good endings, but what about these beauties? Stay With Me - The Faces Sorry - The Easybeats Boys In Town - Divinyls LBBB Edited November 22, 2008 by Guest youtubes
Uncle Joe Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Nice revival of a good old thread, MindCrime. Man, look at some of those posters...Annabelle, Cosmosis. Where are they now?
MindCrime Posted November 22, 2008 Report Posted November 22, 2008 Nice revival of a good old thread, MindCrime. Man, look at some of those posters...Annabelle, Cosmosis. Where are they now? Actually it was Seeker who revived it. I remember both of those posters, they just stopped showing up, like lots of others.
crazyguy29 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Play With Me by Extreme had an amazing ending.
MuzikTyme Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I'll have to endorse the wonderful outro of Derek and the Dominos' Layla "So, you think I'm a clown; that I'm here to amuse you? You think I'm funny, funny how?" "Go get your frickin' shoeshine box!"
c_s_1987 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I think progressive rock bands are the masters of outros (then again, I think progressive rock bands are the masters of pretty much everything ). I used to think Supper's Ready by Genesis definitely had the best outro ever, but the song that supposedly inspired Supper's Ready, A Plague Of Lighthouse Keepers by Van der Graaf Generator is a serious competitor.
