RonJonSurfer
LOS ANGELES (CBS/ AP) Tom Bosley, the TV actor who portrayed Mr. C. on "Happy Days" and Sheriff Amos Tucker on "Murder, She Wrote," has died. Bosley and Henry Winkler, who played The Fonze, were the only two characters who appeared in every episode of the series. Bosley was nominated for an Emmy for the role in 1978. After "Happy Days" ended, Bosley went on to the recurring role in "Murder, She Wrote."' He also was the crime-solving priest in television's "The Father Dowling Mysteries," which ran from 1989 to 1991. Bosley was trained as a stage actor and won the 1960 Tony Award for Best Supporting or Featured Actor (Musical) for playing the title role of Mayor Fiorello La Guardia in "Fiorello." He also originated the role of Belle's father, Maurice, in the Broadway production of the Disney musical "Beauty and the Beast." Born in Chicago on Oct. 1, 1927, Bosley was twice married and had one son. MuzikTyme
Man...another example of how ironic life/death is. There was a time when I wished Howard was my dad and now he's gone. I think the hardest part of growing old is not fear of death, rather, it's seeing everyone that you cared about die before you.
