Does gold medal in curling go to whoever makes the audience fall asleep the fastest? Because as far as I can tell, that's the goal of the "sport".

I went downtown yesterday to see Girl Talk at one of the free concerts, and I went early to hang out and watch the hockey game. It was amazing just being there, a roar would run through the whole downtown area anytime Canada scored. Girl Talk was also pretty awesome too, and free. As much as I wasn't keen on having the olympics here, I'm really enjoying them.

and the last stone of the women's curling tournament meant no gold for Canada there... maybe the men will do (even) better

That was embarrassing for their skip, two bad shots cost them what should have been a somewhat certain win... but at least the men did do better.

And with 13 gold metals their looking to break the all-time Winter Olympic record today.

I really can't say that I watch much ice-hockey, but that was a nice game

Even though I wish America won, that was a really great game. And from an objective standpoint it was the perfect ending to the Olympics. What other country gets behind a sport the way Canada gets behind hockey?

It was a great game and and the way it played out was perfect for the conclusion of the Games. Canada really was meant to win, it just made the whole thing right.

As I was watching the hockey game at the end of it, I said "If Sidney Crosby scores the game-winning goal, I'll be pissed." Literally 5 seconds later, Crosby scored the winning goal.

I was saying "Crosby had better score the winning goal" after they let the lead slip and since he had been kind of floating around for most of the game. Perhaps karma just wanted a happy ending for Canada.
