King -5 Monster Mash - Boris Pickett -4 Happy Happy Birthday Baby - The Tune Weavers -3 Ebony Eyes - The Everly Brothers -2 Hitch Hike - Marvin Gaye -1 Take Good Care of My Baby - Bobby Vee +5 Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee +4 White Christmas - Bing Crosby +3 Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms +2 The Twelfth of Never - Johnny Mathis +1 Chances Are - Johnny Mathis Here's a blurb on my version of White Christmas that I am nominating: In 1942 alone, Crosby's recording spent eleven weeks on top of the Billboard charts. The original version also hit number one on the Harlem Hit Parade for three weeks[3], Crosby's first-ever appearance on the black-oriented chart. Re-released by Decca, the single returned to the #1 spot during the holiday seasons of 1945 and 1946 (on the chart dated January 4, 1947), thus becoming the only single with three separate runs at the top of the U.S. charts. The recording became a chart perennial, reappearing annually on the pop chart twenty separate times before Billboard Magazine created a distinct Christmas chart for seasonal releases. I hope it's eligible because it's truly the best version ever recorded.
MindCrime
+1 White Christmas - Drifters I'd like to switch my +1 to Bing Crosby's version, if it's not too late. I like both versions, I just wasn't sure if there was a preceding date limit.
Lucky
Good, because Bing's is the one I plan to go with as well. That's my favorite all time Christmas song.

Lucky
I just wasn't sure if it was eligible because it's 1940s I know I wondered that as well, but I checked and it charted every year for 20 years after it was released, so I'm assuming that as long as it charted in the '50's it's ok? cyberjudge
I just wasn't sure if it was eligible because it's 1940s I'll accept White Christmas by Bing Crosby because it charted in separate chart runs multiple times between 1950 and 1963. White Christmas by the Drifters is also eligible. However, there are several nominees which will have to be replaced because they did not chart as US singles: Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)-Darlene Love Oh Tannenbaum - Nat King Cole It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas-Perry Como Sleigh Ride-Ronettes Blue Christmas - (recorded in 1957 but not released as a single until December 1964, when it hit #1 on Billboard's Christmas chart, but did not chart on the Hot 100).
