skybluesky
I often talk about how much I love Linda Ronstadt, but I've never nominated her in the T T. Blue Bayou - Linda Ronstadt - 1977 Is She Really Going Out With Him - Joe Jackson - 1979 - one of the greatest opening lines ever.
Lucky
Blue Bayou hasn't made the Ten? Mark that a big vote from me. Could It Be I'm Falling In Love - The Spinners (1972) Mindbender - Stillwater (1977) This actually is the band that was the inspiration for the fictional Almoust Famous band. The fictional band even played the real life bands' songs in the film.
MindCrime
Devil Inside - INXS (1987) Runnin' with the Devil - Van Halen (1978) These noms would've been better suited for last night.

pinkstones
Bleed To Love Her - Fleetwood Mac (1997) Somebody's Knockin' - Terri Gibbs (1981) The first song is taken from their concert The Dance, which was broadcast on MTV. The second song was a song I had heard in the background of a program on the Chicago Fox affiliate back in the early 80s.

Liberal
Edna, I was thinking of nominating 'I'm So Tired'. I concluded that it was too brief to make it in. We'll see how it goes. Edited November 2, 2009 by Guest

skybluesky
"The Middle" - Jimmy Eat World (2001) "Inside" - Jimmie's Chicken Shack (1993) Youtube- "The Middle" - Jimmy Eat World (2001) I found "Inside" on Grooveshark but since the site has changed I don't know who to link individual songs. If some one could do that, that would be super.
miamisammy29
Thanks for the U-tubin', RG. But "Inside" is a really old song by the Chicken Shack (even before their major label debut), so there's probably very little you can find on it except maybe a live version or two. Don't worry about it; it's not gonna get very many votes, anyway.
blind-fitter
"Satan Wants Me" - Luke Haines (2003) ""Satan Wants Me" is a galloping, glorious high density history of pop culture occult, peaking with a comparison of the relative bluesmanship of Jimmy Page and L Ron Hubbard." observed someone or another, in a review of "Das Capital: The Songwriting Genius Of Luke Haines And The Auteurs". "One Hit Wonder" - Texas Terri Bomb (2006) Not destined for a Top Ten spot, I'd wager, but what the heck?
