LeeBB
A New England ~ Billy Bragg (1983) Link] I always thought that this song had the cleverest opening lyric I had ever heard... and then I discovered that it was lifted whole from Paul Simon: I was 21 years when I wrote this song And I'm 22 now, but I won't be for long Great song anyway! LeeBB
Pretty In Pink - Psychedelic Furs Trash - Suede (aka London Suede) I would guess that Suede were heavily influenced by the Psychedelic Furs (and Bowie, of course). LeeBB
dern you nominators of my favourite bands! I had a very hard time choosing a single Suede nom. Trash isn't really a stand-out favourite of mine, but that whole album is one of those rarities where I love each and every song. I prefer it to to the more serious early albums. Blasphemy, I know ;-) LBB
