Levis
I'm hoping one of the more obscure Australian songs will make the top ten, but after looking at the first few votes, I'm not holding my breath. Oi! Stop trying to influence the votes! Any more dissing of your voters and I'll banish you from this thread till the results are out

c_s_1987
This is turning into a very close competition, by the looks of it. I certainly won't try to guess what will get #1. cyberjudge
1. Never Tear Us Apart-INXS 2. No Rain-Blind Melon 3. Run Runaway-Slade 4. Sweet Child 'o Mine-GNR 5. Are You Gonna Be My Girl-Jet 6. Legend of a Mind-Moody Blues 7. Bloody Well Right-Supertramp 8. Champagne Supernova-Oasis 9. Nothing Else Matters-Metallica 10. Tom Sawyer-Rush A different kind of list for me, but still enough for me to find songs within my musical taste. And while I did not vote for them, I did listen to Cold Chisel and Powderfinger: a very big for Cold Chisel - I thought it was kind of like a CCR-type sound; Powderfinger was only so-so for me. LeeBB
I did listen to Cold Chisel and Powderfinger: a very big for Cold Chisel - I thought it was kind of like a CCR-type sound Yeah, I'd certainly put Chisel's singer Jimmy Barnes in the same rough category as John Fogerty (with a fine Australian-Scottish accent). A big difference though, is that the classic Chisel songs are mostly written by the piano player, despite the fact that the real virtuoso in the band is the guitarist. The guitarist sometimes takes the lead vocal too, and he has a much sweeter, purer voice. A nice contrast when they harmonise. If you're interested, here is my fave... Flame Trees.
