John Barleycorn made the TT in list #84, but it's not listed in Every song that made the TT (Artists).

The Songfactors' Choice Top Ten #84 for the week ending 14th October 2007

1. Tangerine - Led Zeppelin (1970) 74

2. Runnin' Down A Dream - Tom Petty (1989) 64

3. John Barleycorn Must Die – Traffic (1970) 60

4. 867-5309/Jenny - Tommy Tutone (1982) 55

5. Stay With Me - The Faces (1971) 52

6. We Are The Champions – Queen (1977) 51

7. Monkey Man - The Rolling Stones (1969) 47

Thanks Lars. :) We appreciate that very much !

I'm supposed to be reconstructing those Files, because we realise there are errors ! I've been ill, but I couldn't resist a look at the nominations.

John Barleycorn Must Die looks like it was missed altogether or inadvertantly deleted from the "ARTISTS" section.

It's fixed now, but we'll need a replacement nomination from bazooka.

Forever Young-Bob Dylan and Bruce Springsteen

Four Strong Winds-Johnny Cash

As near as I can find, the album with Four Strong Winds was released after Johnny's death. Released in 2006. Can't find a date for my other nom.

Yes, 2006 is correct Karma, from the Album "American V - A Hundred Highways".

'Forever Young' by Bob and Bruce is from a 1995 'Special' Album, Concert For The Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame.

:)

I'd just ask everyone to please ensure that songs they find on You Tube and wish to nominate were actually released on record/ CD ! Sometimes there's clips just from TV Specials, Live Concerts, Demo recordings, etc.

If a song didn't gain commercial release, it doesn't really belong in our Top Tens. Or I could nominate myself - as part of the St.James' College Boys' Choir - singing 'The Nun's Chorus" and 'The Fisherman Of England' before my voice changed. I think there were about 100 copies made.

:soapbox: :P

Sorry to hear that you have been ill Old 55 and hope you get well real real soon.

Since you didn't say that I had to take "Forever Young" off, I assume it is a legitimate nom? It is such a good recording I think.

Also, tks for looking that stuff up for me.

Under protest, Martin. :) But I wasn't really thinking of it.

And karma, yes, that's a legitimate nomination alright.

Thanks for your good wishes too. I think a few Brisbane people are ill because we've been having some Melbourne weather lately ! We're not used to the Cold here.

:P
