miamisammy29
1. Slip Kid - The Who (The best song the Who's ever done. It's a DISGRACE that this one isn't in the Top Ten yet!) 2. So Lonely - The Police (The greatest reggae tune ever recorded by someone other than Bob Marley). 3. Driver's Seat - Sniff N' The Tears (Classic one-hit wonder.) 4. A Girl Like You - Smithereens (A very underrated song by a very underrated band.) 5. Strangers - The Kinks (Three words: Lola, Powerman, Money-Go-Round!! ) 6. Time In A Bottle - Jim Croce (I'll bet Jim Croce and Harry Chapin play only the coolest nightclubs in Heaven.) 7. Seven Bridges Road - Eagles (It just seemed appropriate to rank this one at Number Seven.) 8. Ballad of Curtis Loew - Lynyrd Skynyrd (This dude was the finest picker to ever play the blues.) 9. Lonely People - America ("Don't give up until you drink from the silver cup.") 10. Mr. Tambourine Man - Bob Dylan (Numbers Eight thru Ten were wicked tough. There were a great number of cool tunes from which to choose this time, man!) My apologies to the Pixies, Foo Fighters, Scorpions, Killers, Neil Young, and Jeannie C. Riley, among others. karma
well guys & gals, I hate to tell you this, but I won't be posting here anymore. If I have something to say, I will have Lea post for me. Why? you ask. The reason is because I love frogs. I have a frog garden outside, all kinds of frogs inside and even have a live frog that is seven years old now. If you will notice, I am a frog now and want to stay that way sooooo....

Lea
Karmi collects frogs and I gave her two of the coolest ones. One I brought all the way back from Wisconsin to Oregon. It is solid ceramic and weighs quite a bit for a frog DH was not amused

Lucky
I had to go back and check! Ron, I thought I'd left off a nomination again ... "Mediocre Fred"? I even went looking on Youtube, I want to hear it now!! However, I couldn't let this pass without comment, cause I was tempted to nominate it a few weeks ago: If we accept that the term "rap music" derives from the 1950's beat term for talking to someone else, rapping, then it follows that this was the very first rap song: Old Rivers - Walter Brennan 1962 (even if you would never vote for it, this song is worth one listen to its moving end.) By the way, you might want to give us another #10. Unless you can't find 1 more to vote for. Edited July 24, 2008 by Guest
