  1. You've Got To Hide Your Love Away-The Beatles And somehow November Rain-Guns N' Roses always "comforted" me. You Can't Always Get What You Want-The Stones Dare You To Move-Switchfoot
  2. Thanks Carl, forgot to read the songfacts about it first... Still don't see why Jagger would think it's "the people" who killed him?
  3. Love the song, but was always puzzled by this: "I shouted out, who killed the Kennedys? When after all it was you and me" Anyone have an idea what it's supposed to mean?
  4. IRON MAIDEN?!?!!??!!?! Did I really read that right?!
  5. Now that's a nice guitar. Yngwie is fun to listen to for the first 4 songs then it gets old after hearing the same licks again.
  6. Yeah why did Ozzy let that guy(whoever it was) use the crazy train riff? Not a big Jay z or a LP fan, but it sounded alright when I heard it the first 4 times, after the 20th time it sort of got old.
  7. Yes I know what they're songs are about: making money and crappy music. Now answer this, don't you think it's a TAD odd that almost every band out there, writes about either teenage angst or depression? Could that mean that angst sells? Nooo of course it doesn't, it means that they have real talent, like playing 3 chords and writing about the same stuff over and over again. Oh by the way, what you're talking about has NOTHING to do with this thread.
  8. All of them are death metal bands which except for a few bands is crap, of course this just my opinion.
  9. Here's a review on The Wall. Yeah, I'm not going to even comment on this one. All the bands are out to get you! Here's a review on Black Sabbath To invent something you have to invent it FIRST, so from this guy's logic, I can take credit for inventing the light bulb and the theory of gravity! Oh ya here's some of Fred Drust's "great song writing": keep on rolling rolling rolling keep on rolling rolling rolling keep on rolling rolling", if he's a great song writer, I can make millions by saying " I'm a song writer I'm a song writer, ohhh ya I am!"
  10. One word for this review(on DSOTM): ignorant. I couldn't help laughing at this one... Here's a review on Led Zeppelin 1. we all no dat good charrote is better dan zepplin! good charrote waz way b4 zepplin! [/sarcasim] bRitNey iZ HotTT!! A review On "Are You Experienced?". Can Kurt play Machine Gun, Voodoo Child? Of course he can, everyone knows that!
  11. Here is what the message says: "You just wasted 15 dollars on a cd that sucks, oh ya your spelling sucks"
  12. November Rain or Sari-Nellie Mckay
  13. There are a few somewhat new decent metal bands: Shadows Fall, Children of Bodom, listened to a few Shadows falls' songs, pretty good, they have some nice solos(which is good to hear from a new metal band). Haven't heard anything from Children of Bodom but they're supposed to be very good(for a new band.) Yes I do think most of metal is dead and I place the blame on grunge for thinking that you don't need guitar solo's and I also place the blame on Metallica, when they cut their hair and went into the mainstream, that opened the floodgates for the nu-metal bands like korn, slipknot, limp bizkit etc. Then other bands saw that angst sells and started to make albums just for the money(which goes back to the hair metal bands.) As everyone else said the only good metal left are the old bands: Maiden, Judas Priest, OLD Metallica, Sabbath etc.
  14. Not sure where to post this or if it has, but anyways, he turned 61 on March 6th.
  15. In Tangerine(by Led Zep)at around 06 seconds the guitar stops and then you hear someone(Plant I guess) say "1, 2, 3" then Page starts up again.
  16. From what I searched on google Hoagy Carmichael has the longest song title: I?m a Cranky Old Yank in a Clanky Old Tank on the Streets of Yokohama with my Honolulu Mama Doin? Those Beat-o, Beat-o Flat-On-My-Seat-o, Hirohito Blues. System Of A Down has one of the shortest songs "36" and "X"
  17. Metallica guitarists=Krik Hammet/James Hetfeild Audioslave/RATM guitarist=Tom Morello RHCP first guitarist was Dave Navarro, then was replaced by John Frusciante.
