  1. Am I the only one then, who heard this song and thought "Hey, that's a catchy chorus"? Who says it means anything at all? Perhaps the guy just thought it was clever, and sounded good? I think y'all have put far too much effort into a silly pop song.
  2. If you want to find JPJ's finest moments, I would recommend the following: Buy the box set of every album remastered. Listen to each cd carefully, writing down every tracks name. You now have a list of every Zep song that JPJ was brilliant on.
  3. That actually looks like a rather enjoyable cd!
  4. Gaah!? US - You're so Vain - Carly Simon UK - Long Haired Lover From Liverpool - Little Jimmy Osmond I'm cursed...
  5. Never been to Spain - 3 dog night
  6. Da Doo Ron Ron (When He Walked Me Home)by: Crystals, The Lyrics by: Jeff Barry/Ellie Greenwich/Phil Spector Peak: 3 Year: 1963 I met him on a Monday And my heart stood still Da do ron ron ron, da do ron ron Somebody told me That his name was Bill Da do ron ron ron, da do ron ron Yes, my heart stood still Yes, his name was Bill And when he walked me home Da do ron ron ron, da do ron ron I knew what he was doing When he caught my eye Da do ron ron ron, da do ron ron He looked so quiet but my oh my Da do ron ron ron, da do ron ron Yes, he caught my eye Yes, my oh my And when he walked me home Da do ron ron ron, da do ron ron He picked me up at seven And he looked so fine Da do ron ron ron, da do ro...
  7. Okay, my g/f is trying to find out the name and artist of a song that was used apparently somewhere in Dead Poet's Society. It's a 50's style doo-wop thing, I believe, and the lyric she remembers is "Hey little girl, how's about a kiss?" Anyone?
  8. Also, as the story goes, he took Plant on that drive for the first time, and Plant came up with some of the lyrics on the drive. He'd always listened to arabian style music on a shortwave radio as a kid and loved the sound of it. Also, Plant has been quoted as saying that what really makes this song is Bonham's drumming.. It's what he DIDN'T do that makes the song magical..
  9. I can't remember which, but the old rumor went that Zoso could've been ZoFo, not an s, but an f, and it could've been an old alchemy abbreviation.. Have to look that up..
  10. Perhaps it's the Divinyls, I Touch Myself? I love myself I want you to love me When I'm feelin' down I want you above me I search myself I want you to find me I forget myself I want you to remind me Chorus: I don't want anybody else When I think about you I touch myself I don't want anybody else Oh no, oh no, oh no You're the one who makes me happy honey You're the sun who makes me shine When you're around I'm always laughing I want to make you mine I close my eyes And see you before me Think I would die If you were to ignore me A fool could see Just how much I adore you I get down on my knees I'd do anything for you Chorus I love myself I want you to love me When I'm feelin' down I want you above me I search myself I want you to find me I forget myself I want you to remind me Chorus I want you I don't want anybody else And when I think about you I touch myself Ooh, oooh, oooooh, aaaaaah Chorus
  11. Sites pay far less to have their ad at the bottom of the page, and rightfully so. I hardly think it'd be worth their while simply for the sake of the fish having his spot... He is still, after all, the first thing on the page.
  12. You missed the Beatles. Pink Floyd doesn't hold a candle to the Beatles. They may have had the longest consecutive run ever on the charts, but the numbers still aren't high enough. And don't forget Garth Brooks, he somehow outsold some of the Zep catalog.
  13. For those of you who mentioned Radiohead, seriously, check out Brave by Marillion. Alot of critics say Ok Computer never would've been written if it weren't for Brave.. The lead singer of Marillion says that he had never listened to Radiohead until a friend at a radio station said that the Radiohead guys were stealing all the promo copies of Brave and raving about it.. So, he bought the Bends and loved it... Anyway, check it out, it's bloody brilliant.
  14. No one ever answered the first question, I noticed.. The song's called C'mon C'mon and it's by the Von Bondies. Great tune!
  15. They're constantly playing new ones, with songs I like, but don't know who they're by.. Can anyone tell me the song in the most recent one? It's got the girl in the kneelength skirt dancing with a blue background, she's got a very long ponytail.. And there's a shot of a guy singing along, just the profile of his face.. I saw it twice last night, so I know it's still in rotation.. Please help! ::
  16. Especially for those of you who responded positively to the free cd offer I posted the link to, check this out! http://www.marillion.com/tour/index.html These guys put on one hell of a show live, most of the fans say they sound better without all the production, and they've been warming up on UK audiences for two months, and are in top form! They're probably coming somewhere nearby in the next couple of weeks, check them out.
  17. Well, there's always the two newest top twenty singles from Marillion... You're Gone reached number 8 on the Brit charts, and Don't Hurt Yourself just hit 16 on last week's Brit charts.. Head out to HMV and pick 'em up!
  18. That was indeed Bonham. You can also hear him singing in the background of Song Remains the Same at one or two points, if you listen closely enough.
  19. Or just go to olga.net (online guitar archive) and/or harmonycentral.com
  20. One song always sticks out in my mind when people say summer songs.. It always makes me feel like going for a drive with the top down and just singing along... Dreams by the Cranberries
  21. Nope. It's the one just before In Through the Out Door. A commercial flop, truly, as far as Zep albums go, but I kinda dig it.. It was very bluesy, back to the roots rock'n roll, not the synth stuff on In Through.... And, interesting trivia, Robert Plan was in a real bad car accident, really crushed one foot, besides other things. Doc said he wouldn't walk again, they recorded this album while he was in a wheelchair. He went on tour in a few months, cause he was determined to get on stage again...
  22. I vote under protest. Where's Presence?
  23. Dido put out a new album a few months ago, she's got a single where the main line of the chorus is something like "I will go down with the ship." Dunno if that helps.
