miamisammy29
When he went to Emma to ask for her hand, though, he skipped the whole "endless love" mush and instead spent the evening discussing transmutation. Whoa, deja vu. I did the exact same thing when I proposed several years back. Needless to say, I've never been married. Praise the Lord for evolution. Rayzor
Levis, I was wondering... did you move while I was away for those 2 months? I notice your an Aussie now, before you were in India, no? Or am I simply drinking too much? Raymond
Levis
No no, you didn't drink too much (or maybe you did, but you aren't seeing things). I'm as Indian as ever... I landed in Oz two weeks ago. I was accepted by Monash U for a Masters in media studies. Seems like fun!
Rayzor
Cool! Get to see other part of the world while working at school! Good for you and best of luck Radhika!
Rayzor
I didn't go to college or university but I watched as my roomie went back to school ten years after finishing high school to be a nurse. I was with her all the way and helped as much as possible. She has since graduated (twice) and is one of the best there. I'm glad to see you going at a younger age as Peaches mentioned in another thread that it's difficult to concentrate with a family around. I applaud you both! Shawna
It IS tough to go to college - at any age. So congrats to you, Radhi! You have a head for higher learning I went back to school after 27 years, and I'm still slogging along. It's tough when you're supporting yourself and you've got kids running around, but in many ways it's easier for me because now I know what it is I want and I'm much better prepared mentally/emotionally to go after it. The year I graduated from high school I was the epitome of Clueless.
Levis
Head for higher learning? Why yes ... I passed up that degree in quantum mechanics for this. They begged me, but I said no no... no no no... I do not wish to embarass the others.

Levis
I'm here I like it! Sure I miss home but the people are nice and I'm making a few friends and I love the trains. I can hear them go by from where I'm staying. Oh and my classes are in the middle of the city so I'm looking forward to that!
katie_sane
Are you staying with family? How long are you here for? How exciting! Right now you are the closest Songfactor to me, since Chris is in Perth and Darryl in Brisbane. Melbourne is closer to me than either of those cities. Levis
I'm staying with a family. Which is good because they're Australian and I worry that my class will have more international students than Australian students... makes it quite annoying to come all the way to Oz and not be able to take in Australia's foreign and exotic culture

Levis
You get that in India too... kraits and cobras and so on. But that's mostly in the south, I think.
