Tenacious_Peaches
Hubby just asked me "So how did D*ck In A Box do?...I told him it didn't make the list....he's very disappointed... It wasn't from lack of trying. I'm very much pro-d*ck, you know.

Tenacious_Peaches
I'm curious who'll vote for this one: Breathe ~ The Prodigy I will totally vote for this, marvelous Martin. These are some freaky, freaky cats...and I like it.
edna
It's a Heartache - Bonnie Tyler wow... I always wished The Ramones would cover that song...
Tenacious_Peaches
Giving It All Away -- Roger Daltrey I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this.
The Seeker
I've never heard this before, but I actually like it better than anything else I've heard of theirs. They always seem like they are trying too hard not to care, which smacks of desperation. I love you muchly, though, sweet Fintan. I'm glad your love for me doesn't depend on how Oasis behave at that moment As for the rest of your post... they're just cool like that (so remember... a vote for D'you Know What I Mean is a vote for me)
The Seeker
I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this. I'm surprising Peaches with two songs in a row!

Tenacious_Peaches
This renom got 1 vote previously.... Children of the Sun ~ Billy Thorpe ( love this song) If Farin is allowed one...Here's my off the wall suggestions. For you prog lovers: The Four Horsemen ~ Aphrodite's Child Holy crap, Lucky. I feel like someone slipped a tab of acid under my tongue when I wasn't paying attention whilst watching both of those videos.
Tenacious_Peaches
Avenging Annie Will be my second. I think Fin like the second one! *in my best Senor Wences voice* 'Sawright.
Tenacious_Peaches
let's see if you like this one better: Stand ~ R.E.M. As much as I love them, I've never been a fan of this song. I mean, I like the song and it's incredibly catchy and ear-wormy, but it seems like someone gave them an extra bump in their paycheck to create something commercially pop, and it goes against how I perceive them to be. I may be rambling at this point. Feel free to ignore me.
Tenacious_Peaches
Out of curiousity I wonder if those in the UK know this one (never released in the US) It Feels Like Here's the same girl, at the age of 13. I'd nominate this one.... Blue ~ LeAnn Rimes I love both of them. It's good to see LeAnn grow up and learn how to harness that big voice of hers. Tenacious_Peaches
Crazy Love ~ Poco I think someone might have nominated this before, not sure.....nice song though. This is Poco....they've aged a little, but still good.... Oh Lord, this is one of the songs that makes me clutch my hand to my heaving bosom in a fit of melancholy heartache. Love, love, love it. Farin
As much as I love them, I've never been a fan of this song. I may be rambling at this point. Feel free to ignore me. Stipe: "It takes a lot of guts to write such a stupid song" This originated when guitarist Peter Buck came up with what he thought was a stupid guitar riff. Lead singer Michael Stipe recognized the stupidity of the song and tried to write equally stupid lyrics. Buck used a wah-wah pedal on this because he felt it's an overused and stupid effect, which would add to the dumb feeling of the song. so, I'm not disagreeing with you

Tenacious_Peaches
That's funny. At least now I know it was supposed to be a dumb pop song. Who needs a high IQ to listen to music?

Tenacious_Peaches
(so remember... a vote for D'you Know What I Mean is a vote for me) If I based my votes on how much I loved the person who nominated the songs, I'd never pare the list down to ten because I love everybody. I might love you a bit more than everyone else, but don't tell anyone. I wouldn't want anyone to be jealous of our stalker/stalkee relationship. Farin
And I love the songfacts for that song... every second word is 'stupid'... they're almost quotes from "R.E.M. Inside Out - The Stories behind the songs" - I have that book
