Foolonthehill
So where is this pirate option? It's gone now. It was only a one-day thing
Levis
tisn't - at the bottom of your home page (Home Port ) or profile you have the option of changing your preferred language
The Seeker
Last.fm is not scrobbling the stuff I play on my WMP anymore... the last.fm software says the songs are scrobbled, but they don't show up on my profile. When I listen to my station and such it works just fine...
Farin
did you already look into "Diagnostics" in the Help section of the software?
The Seeker
Aha... "Error: Could not reach server". Hmm... so is this last.fm or me?
Farin
I dunno, really... did you only have problems today? then it could be only temporary...
The Seeker
No, it last worked two weeks ago. I just found a thread about it... there doesn't really seem to be a solution
Farin
oh great... if you found a thread, what exactly is the problem then? the software, or the connection?
The Seeker
Well, with some people it happened when they changed their password, but I didn't. And apparently someone asked support about it but they didn;t know what to do either. That's all
Farin
hmm, I see maybe try to re-install the software?
Levis
Eh, let it go... mine periodically doesn't scrobble. A restart of itunes or last.fm usually sets it straight. At the most a computer reboot. It sorts itself out soon enough If it keeps doing it, you can worry
Farin
^ yes, for me too, but he said it last worked 2 weeks ago
Levis
WMP sux last.fm can't be wrong reinstall, reinstall - one or the other or both!
The Seeker
I've lost count of how many times I restarted both the laptop and WMP in the past two weeks I'd use Winamp, and I did for a while, but I think WMP's sound quality is better. The Seeker
Now I tried reinstalling the software and it tells me I'm not connected to the internet Changed the proxy settings and all, but I guess I'll just give up for today
Farin
I'd use Winamp, and I did for a while, but I think WMP's sound quality is better. I think that's more a psychological phenomenon
The Seeker
I'll rephrase... Winamp's sound quality is probably better, but I prefer WMP's. I feel that Winamp's sound is more focussed and thus clearer, whereas WMP's is 'broader', if that makes any sense at all to anyone else...
Farin
ah, okay, I'll take your word for that but anyway, I really doubt that your problem has something to do with WMP... it's not that an obscure choice for music software after all
The Seeker
I doubt it too. It's either last.fm or the connection here, but it worked last year too... Oh well.
