Brad_M
Both members of this duo were born on the same day and the same year.
Rayzor
Who are Tegan & Sara? (twin sister duo) I'm guessing they aren't related?
Brad_M
Rayzor, Tegan and Sara are identical twin sisters and they were both born on the same day and year, but they are not who I am looking for. Twin performers would be too easy to guess. The duo I'm thinking of are not related at all, but coincidentally, they were born on the same day and year. miamisammy29
Twin performers would be too easy to guess. So then, it's not the Proclaimers?
Brad_M
Nope. That's what makes this question unique, Sammy. I was surprised when I read that both members of this duo were not related but both were born on the same day and year. What are the odds?

Brad_M
Who are Simon&Garfunkel? That's the closest guess, so far, Edna. They were born the same year but not on the same day. You're also the closest guess with the era of this duo.

Zabadak
OK, not who I was thinking of - both members of Spacemen 3 were born on 19/11/65... :frenchie:
edna
Not Peter and Gordon or Zagger&Evans or Chad&Jeremy... or Crosby&Nash or Sonny&Cher...
Brad_M
OK, not who I was thinking of - both members of Spacemen 3 were born on 19/11/65... :frenchie: Yes, unfortunately, it's not the answer because they weren't a duo, but were members of a larger group and wrong time period. But a good find of two people from the same group with the exact same birth day and year who aren't related, Zab.
Brad_M
Not Peter and Gordon or Zagger&Evans or Chad&Jeremy... or Crosby&Nash or Sonny&Cher... None of those, Edna. Think early '60s, male duo.
edna
I've looked up jan&Dean, Ike&Tina, Sam&Dave, Righteous, walker and Everly Bros, etc. I give up..
Brad_M
I didn't know Tina was a guy. The key to finding this duo is that they didn't go by individual names. The name of their duo make them sound like a band, if you didn't know that they weren't, because their name starts with the word "The". They both play guitar. They were a one-hit wonder in 1960. That song was a Top 10 hit in the U.S. and Top 40 hit in the UK. More clues to follow if needed.
edna
Must be some unknown duo for me because I've tried -almost-them all...
Brad_M
The song that was this duo's only U.S. Top Ten Hot 100 hit in 1960 was one of Jimmie Rodger's yodel songs. This hint will lead to the name of the Duo.
edna
Who might be The Fendermen? I thought about them but I couldn't find about the day they were born...
Brad_M
You got it, Edna! :happybanana: Both members of The Fendermen (Phil Humphrey and Jim Sundquist) were born on 11/26/1937. Their only Top 40 hit in both the U.S. and UK was "Mule Skinner Blues".
