So those who have the original vinyl will read "Trad. etc..." and those who bought the cd after 1990 will read "??/XX/xx"

British band who became more popular than the Beatles in 1969. Even President Carter's children said they prefered XX rather than The Beatles.

Joan Baez sung the song in the early 60s.

Two of the original members are dead.

Led Zeppelin version

The band was inspired to cover the song after hearing Baez's version. Both guitarist Jimmy Page and singer Robert Plant were fans of Baez. Baez's original album had indicated no writing credit, and Led Zeppelin credited the song as "Trad. arr. Page". In the 1980s, Bredon was made aware of Led Zeppelin's version of the song. Since 1990 the Led Zeppelin version has been credited to Anne Bredon/Jimmy Page & Robert Plant, and Bredon received a substantial back-payment in royalties

Okay... this one might be easy. Then again there may be more than one correct answer :crazy:

This artist had 33 top 40 hits spanning 3 decades all of which he wrote himself.

The name of this hard-rock band from England, active in the early 00's, was inspired by an infamous and bizarre cult classic movie from the late 70's.
