c_s_1987
Time - Pink Floyd Freedom - Jimi Hendrix Ok, so I guess someone should nominate something by Led Zeppelin and The Who now. Three Stones nominations already? hmm...
OLD 55
Shadows hasn't noticed that "Comfortably Numb" is in the Songfacts Weekly Top Ten. I've PTd her, so maybe she'll replace it with a Zeppelin song. The Who have yet to make #1 on one of our Top Tens
TheLizard
Of course, when we're trying to get the big classic rock names nominated I go with an alternative song and a 50's song. Oh well.
c_s_1987
The Who have yet to make #1 on one of our Top Tens Good point. To everyone who hasn't nominated yet, please don't nominate "Won't Get Fooled Again" for this top ten. It deserves to be #1, and it probably won't manage that against such strong competition. Feel free to ignore me though - it's only a suggestion.
Dappled
The Who have yet to make #1 on one of our Top Tens And so have Elton John, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis, Neil Young, REM to name just a few superstars.

OLD 55
An old Australian Racing Tale for Kevin....... There's the story about the senior jockey who reportedly paid every other jockey in the race to lose except the new young kid. The senior jockey's horse was in front and looked like winning until the kid's horse cantered past it to win easily, paying odds of 10 to 1. The kid said to the senior jockey after the race "See - you should have paid me too" ! The senior jockey said, "No way kid; the rest of us all bet on your horse". Farin
because I see it as a personal failure if we have less people nominating than the last time (if they don't have a good excuse, like "I had both my arms broken and couldn't type" )
