Malakin Posted December 19, 2006 Report Posted December 19, 2006 Kevin, I'm not feeling great about how much you were hoping I'd lose! Time for the big guns, yay playoffs!!
Kevin Posted December 20, 2006 Author Report Posted December 20, 2006 It wasn't so much that , Malakin , but since Joe and I were in the same boat , there was a brotherhood of misery , I guess . Actually , now, I think I'm glad Joe didn't make the top group's playoffs ( if I couldn't too ) , as he likely would rub it in for awhile ! LOL I'll cheer for you now , as an underdog victory would add a fun twist to this season .
Uncle Joe Posted December 20, 2006 Report Posted December 20, 2006 Hey Kev, I still took two out of three from your boney ass this season. Nya nya.
Rayzor Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Just wanted to ask... which one of you yankee's was watching the World Junior Championship (Under 20) in hockey? Is being held in Sweden and Canada doing alright... what happened to U.S.A?? They usually right up there... Finland too...
Lucky Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 LOL, I feel your pain. Are you feeling mine too? As if last week wasn't bad enough, talk about insult to injury, thank you very much!!
Carl Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Congratulations to the Electric Prunes on their second place finish in the Songfacts Gridiron league. Just so you guys know, I knew this was wrapped up about 10 days ago when a big box of meats and cheeses arrived on my doorstep. At that moment, I realized that not only would I soon be enjoying some summer sausage, but also another championship.
TheLizard Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 It takes a lot of effort to finish dead last...
phil Posted January 1, 2007 Report Posted January 1, 2007 Congratulations to Carl for repeating as Songfacts Champion. I knew I was doomed when hoping for some cheap TD's, I put Ron Dayne in. In typical Dayne fashion, he doesn't even play cause he had some phantom injury. If you are a Giant fan, you know what I'm talking about. That was my first Fantasy Football experience and it was fun. Congrats to everyone who participated.
Lucky Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 It takes a lot of effort to finish dead last... Honey don't I know it... Congratulations Carl!! How many tee shirts do you need anyway? Thanks guys, it was fun, AND I made a decent showing. Not bad for a girl, anyway!!
Uncle Joe Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Hats off to you, Carl. It was a fun first season for me. I look forward to playing again next year. Now, let's go root for the Eagles.
Malakin Posted January 2, 2007 Report Posted January 2, 2007 Insult to injury!? What are you saying, that I'm not worthy of 3rd place?! I'm hurt.
Kevin Posted January 3, 2007 Author Report Posted January 3, 2007 Indeed . Congrats to Carl , Phil and Malakin ! Well played ! Now , as for those booby-prizes : Lizard ? Cee-Cee ? You still up for them ?
Lucky Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) Insult to injury!? What are you saying, that I'm not worthy of 3rd place?! I'm hurt. no darlin', that's not what I meant!! TheLizard Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I'll take what I can get. I have no shame.
Uncle Joe Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 CeeCee gets a prize for having boobies?
Lucky Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I'll take what I can get. I have no shame. What he said! Hey, if they are prizewinning boobies why not?
phil Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 (edited) I think I'll just keep quiet. Edited January 3, 2007 by Guest
Malakin Posted January 3, 2007 Report Posted January 3, 2007 I think I've yet to meet boobies that weren't worthy of a prize of some sort.. Mm... Wandered a bit off topic, though! Grats to everybody, that was a good season!
Kevin Posted January 5, 2007 Author Report Posted January 5, 2007 So ... no more Fantasy sports for awhile ... nothing to brag/ nor complain about for awile . All Quiet on The Western Front ....
Farin Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 nothing sports-related, but I wanted to say that that's ^ one of my favourite books of all time
Uncle Joe Posted January 5, 2007 Report Posted January 5, 2007 Erich Maria Remarque if I'm not mistaken. A fave of mine as well.
