RonJonSurfer Posted August 1, 2006 Author Report Posted August 1, 2006 Sister Disco by the Who just went off and here is REO Speedwagon.....LIVE!!
The Seeker Posted August 1, 2006 Report Posted August 1, 2006 If they continue like that I might even have to turn the TV on and watch MTV. Gasp. I've never seen the video for Sister Disco before; I didn't even know there was one.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 1, 2006 Author Report Posted August 1, 2006 It was a live cut from some sort of benefit show I think. They just played Leo Sayer, whom I once saw in concert just to impress a young lady. There's another Buggles video on now....The Song???
RonJonSurfer Posted August 1, 2006 Author Report Posted August 1, 2006 How about Celebrate The Bullet by Selecter? Kind of a SKA/Reggae mix if you ask me!!
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 Nazareth - Holiday Stevie Nicks - Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 Right now they are playing a live version of Little Sister. Robert plant on vocals and Rockpile with Dave edmunds on guitar. It is from the Concert for Kampuchea?
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 Rainbow - All Night Long (nice cut)
Tenacious_Peaches Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Brass in Pocket - The Pretenders Ron, I just knew we'd end up watching this together. Pass that bottle, brother.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 The power stayed on after all....next blackout, NJ!! Lot's of repeat videos.
phil Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I remember the first VJ's especilly Nina Blackwood and Martha Quinn.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 That's called a fantasy Phil...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 At least the guitar is hiding Kevin's junk this time.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 Can Michael Stanley be ending the 24 hours?
Tenacious_Peaches Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I guess he did. That started with a bang and ended with a fizzle. Here's to 25 more, MTV.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 however...it's done...it was fun
edna Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 Right now they are playing a live version of Little Sister. Robert plant on vocals and Rockpile with Dave edmunds on guitar. It is from the Concert for Kampuchea? I´m sure it is, they did play that song together at the Concert for Kampuchea...
OLD 55 Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 some group called PhD doing "Little Susie's On The Up" (Anybody know anything about them???) Thay were a UK Duo, Jim Diamond (born in Scotland) and Tony Hymas (don't know much about him). I've never heard of that song, their only Hit being "I Won't Let You Down", UK #3, Australia #5 in 1981. Jim Diamond went solo and had a UK and Australian #1 with "I Should Have Known Better" - different to the Beatles' song - in 1984/5.
Jenny Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I missed it! I ended up having to run errands all evening and didn't get to watch it. Still, reading RonJon and Peachy's posts made me feel like I was there....now I'm having horrible visions of Kevin Cronin's package...AAAAAAAAHHHH!
edna Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I know it´s not the same, Jenny, but I´m sure youtube has most of these videos...
Tenacious_Peaches Posted August 2, 2006 Report Posted August 2, 2006 I've tried to find the REO sack video on YouTube for Jenny, but they didn't have it. Sorry, sister, you'll just have to imagine the scary bulge.
RonJonSurfer Posted August 2, 2006 Author Report Posted August 2, 2006 I'm thinkin' you guys watch videos for a totally different reason than me.
