"Beautiful"

Carole King

Written by Carole King.

A track of her 1971 album, "Tapestry".

The song wasn't released as a single but received much airplay.

It was covered by many artists. It's also part of the title for the Broadway musical: "Beautiful: The Carole King Musical", in 2014.

Carole King said the song just came to her unconsciously, while in the subway in NYC. She realized her mood was responsible of how she saw the other people riding in the subway.

That's why "she initially didn't realize some of the professional details of the song, such as the lack of rhyme in the refrain, which if she was writing the song consciously she would have included" (according to wikipedia)

"Violet" is a song by American alternative rock band Hole, written by vocalist and guitarist Courtney Love and guitarist Eric Erlandson. The song was written in mid-1991, and was performed live between 1991 and 1992 during Hole's earlier tours, eventually appearing as the opening track on the band's second studio album Live Through This (1994).

Courtney Love has stated several times that the song was written about her relationship with Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan in 1990, and the lyrics speak from the point of view of an angry narrator who has abandoned a romance. The song also explores themes of sexual exploitation and self-abasement.

"Violet" peaked at number 29 on the Billboard's Modern Rock Tracks after the album's release in 1994, and is arguably one of Hole's most well-known and critically recognized songs.

Courtney Love interview about the "Live Through This" album: "Without the benefit of history, there was no way you could be in the middle of all that and understand what it was like,” she says. “To be a couple that persecuted, and to be such weak people, so frail and reactive, huddling together because the whole world is going [she makes a sound like a bomb going off]. You’ve got your own team, the sectarian left, splintering off and pointing accusing fingers. We’re ******* picking nits off Eddie Vedder and Eddie Vedder is trying to take on the constitution, and the whole ******* world is damning me to the stake. It was insanity. So in reaction to that, I made a record about it.”

Ozzy - See you on the other side

the 2nd of 3 singles released from 1995's Ozzmosis.

Co written by Lemmy of Motorhead.

This song is about dealing with the pain of death and believing that they will meet again. Most likely a tribute to Randy Rhodes and quite possibly comedian Sam Kinison, who died a year before and was close friends with Ozzy.
