golden_ann Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Oh, gosh, my bad! I'm still sort of a newbie, guys, so bear with me? Okay, here's a hint:The solo hit had to do with the singer's denial of his feelings for a former love.
edna Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 I think I´ll give up... the hint is not enough for my memory...
miamisammy29 Posted November 15, 2004 Report Posted November 15, 2004 Okay, I'm pretty sure the Babys is right. Until Golden Ann states otherwise, we will go under that assumption. So, here is a new one: 1. Band formed in late 1970's 2. Band included three brothers 3. Late singer was sometimes described as the second coming of Mick Jagger :happybanana:
golden_ann Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Yes, Miami, it's the Babys! I think I can picture yours, it's right there, just a tad out of reach...
miamisammy29 Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 Oh, come on! This is so easy! It says LATE singer. Edna, give the answer, please, and post a new one. Thank you. :beady:
Danielj Posted November 16, 2004 Report Posted November 16, 2004 AC/DC, but they didnt start in the late 70's, and there are only 2 bros. I dont know many Australian bands.
edna Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Sorry, Sammy, but I second Daniel´s thought... Three brothers? AC/DC is not the only aussie band, but I can´t check my papers, I´m not home... anyway, even if you meant Bon Scott, he was scottish... and they´re not from late 70s. Neither the Bee Gees...
TenYearsGone Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 INXS? 1. This band started out in San Francisco in the 70's. 2. They had two #1, multi-platinum LP's in the mid-80's. 3. Their frontman was born Hugh Cregg III.
edna Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 INXS? 1. This band started out in San Francisco in the 70's. 2. They had two #1, multi-platinum LP's in the mid-80's. 3. Their frontman was born Hugh Cregg III. The band is Huey Lewis and the News. But I wonder if it is INXS... three brothers?
TenYearsGone Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 Huey Lewis is correct. INXS had the Farriss brothers; Tim, Andrew, and Jon. Your turn...
edna Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 1) Formed in 1965, California. 2) Female lead singer replaced by another female lead singer in second album. 3)Bass and giutar player formed another band Very very easy...
miamisammy29 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 INXS was correct. Very good, Ten Years. Sorry, I've been away for a while. But I'm back!!
edna Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Sammy...pls, answer my question, you know who´s the band... and post another one! It´s very easy...
Elvish Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 1) Formed in 1965, California. 2) Female lead singer replaced by another female lead singer in second album. 3)Bass and giutar player formed another band Very very easy... Jefferson Airplane Now I need to figure one out - give me a minute or two. . .
Elvish Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Another easy one: 1. Performed at both Woodstock and Monterey 2. Lost three keyboard players to untimely deaths. 3. One of the top grossing concert bands of all time.
Elvish Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Grateful Dead? You got it, Sammy - too easy! ::
TenYearsGone Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 my guess is Canned Heat - but I think it's wrong.
miamisammy29 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Alright, here's a new one: 1. Known primarily as a Southern hard rock band 2. 1975 debut album was self-titled 3. Nicknamed the "Florida Guitar Army"
edna Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 In case I´m right, here goes my guess: 1) Three musicians band, England, first 70s. 2) Something in common with the Who. 3) Leader formed another band in 1983. If I was wrong let´s the winner take it all...sorry, winner post another one.
miamisammy29 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 The Outlaws is correct, Edna. However, yours isn't coming to me at the monent....but gimme a little time.
