I am French and I was born in Argentina, my mather is French and my father was both Spanish and Argentinian (son of Spanish). My other grandparents were Russian, half-German, ancestors from Sheffield. They were Jewish so I am Jewish too. My brother&sister are French, Argentinian and Spanish. My husband is Spanish. I had a Greek boyfriend. I wish I was Italian.

Hey, I'm just wondering what everyone's ethnic backgrounds are! I find this kind of thing interesting and it's cool to see what everyone's heritage is...

I'll start with mine (besides my home country, Canada)

> My dad is from Portugal (born&raised)

> My mom's parents are both from England, but she wasn't born there.

Native Central American (Mayan) and Spanish. This would make me a "mutt" or "mestizo" in layman's terms.

Anyone else notice how some posts and threads disappeared and the dates of these posts are from 1969?

Lets see if I can name all the stuff I am...

1/4 Indian(from India)

1/4 Lithuanian

mix of Russian, English, Scottish and few other things I can't remember at the moment...

Yeah I THINK all the new threads are from "69" and "70".

i'm 100% indian through and through...not only indian but also kashmiri. both my parents are kashmiri as is the rest of my family (duh). it's because my mom and my dad's marriage was kind of 'in-family'. it resulted in some family relations you would not believe! my second cousin is my aunt and so on and so forth... :P even though my parents split shortly after i was born, its nice to be so... so... pedigreed! ::

I remember posting this before....

My ancestry dates back to Vikings in Scandanavia pillaging their way through to England. My surname means "Man of the island". Along the way they added some British, South African, Irish and Scottish into the gene pool.

Interesting mix :P

I posed this question some time back. Maybe it did not make it through the Songfacts Time Warp!

I am 2nd generation Californian. My dad was Serbian and my mom was English and Irish.

Did anybody else see MT in here earlier? Maybe I just imagined it.

My background is pure middle English, which in itself is a mixture of Norse, Pict, Saxon, Moor, Celt, Waloon, Norman, cave dweller....

I'm not exactly sure what my heritage is, but I know that on my father's side, several ancestors came from Luxembourg and on my mother's side, several ancestors came from France. But that's about all I know.

I also found out yesterday that I'm part Irish. So I'm a German, French, Irish mix. Does that make me a mutt?

I'm part English, as my last name is the phonetic spelling of the British pronunciation of the occupation from which it's taken.

I'm part Scottish, as my mother's last name is the Scottish word for church.

I'm also part German, as there is someone with the last name of Holstein in my family tree.

I'm also part native American, so they say?

No, you didn´t imagine. He´s one of the last posters on the other thread, "Your Heritage", and the date is from last year...
