Uncle Joe Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Any Barry Manilow song will sound better "unplugged"..the stereo that is.
DiggsUK Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Joe, you beat me to it. I was going to say 'Starship' though. Regards
RonJonSurfer Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 none, but many unplugged songs would sound better juiced up.
edna Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 none, but many unplugged songs would sound better juiced up. I was about to say the same...I can´t think of any unplugged version better than the electric one...
Karhul Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I think every version of each song on How The West Was Won is better than the originals. I'll say it again, Led Zeppelin sound better live!!.
Uncle Joe Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I did like Foreigner's unplugged version of Hot Blooded.

Jenny Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 I'm not a big Nirvana fan, but I like their unplugged album a lot. I also thought that "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi sounded better unplugged. I know it's not that "plugged" to begin with, but still......
Addictedtoclassic Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 "Things Goin' On" by Lynyrd Skynyrd sounds great unplugged. I actually like the acoustic version better.

I would miss the feedback laden solo too much on that one.
edna Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 On a second thought, the acoustic songs of John Lennon are really beautifull...
RonJonSurfer Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 On a second thought, the acoustic songs of John Lennon are really beautifull... That might be my exception to the rule too.
Earth-Angel Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Incubus are even better unplugged and live - wow! Nirvana are brilliant unplugged too
XXX Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 Travis's radio cover version of Britnay Spears's "Baby, One More Time"
Elvish Posted March 1, 2005 Report Posted March 1, 2005 "Things Goin' On" by Lynyrd Skynyrd sounds great unplugged. I actually like the acoustic version better. Good one, Addicted! IMO, Guns N Roses' "You're Crazy" is better acoustic. Also, Stevie Ray Vaughan did a killer acoustic version of "Testify" that gives me chills. And depending on my mood, there are many Nirvana songs that I prefer the unplugged version. :guitar:
DJ Kat WQAQ98.1 Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 Of the things that I have heard: "Man Who Sold the World" -Nirvana "Tom Traubert's Blues (Waltzing Matilda)" -Rod Stewart "Goodnight Siagon" "Downeastern Alexa" and "She's Only A Woman" -Billy Joel "Bed of Roses" -Bon Jovi
TrampledUnderFoot Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 I've never been a fan of any song "unplugged", but I have to say, Eric Clapton's "Unplugged" album is very good (I own it).
XXX Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 "Susanna" by The Art Company. It was only available "unplugged"
windy1 Posted March 2, 2005 Report Posted March 2, 2005 Depends on the song. Some songs just don't transfer well to an unplugged version. But when the right song is picked, it can sound excellent. I'm sure everyone can think of good and bad examples.
