How many bands do you know of with lead singing drummers, i know that The Monkees had Micky Dolenz...he sang lead on I'm a Believer.

Ringo Starr...not really sure what he did, im just now starting to get into the Beatles.

And Don Henley of The Eagles sings lead quite a bit...

do you guys know of any others??

Phil Collins.

Also, the lead singer of 3 Doors Down was the drummer. But I saw them live last year and he didn't do both - I'm not sure if that's just for concerts or if he's given up drumming completely.

I immediately thought of Buddy Miles. Also, Dave Grohl sings some harmony on many Nirvana songs. And Meg White sings a song called "In the cold cold night" on the White Stripes CD "Elephant," although she doesn't play any drums on that song.

Dave Clark of the great 1960s British Invasion Band, The Dave Clark Five ! They had more hits in the U.S. than they did in the U.K.

:drummer:

Q. How can you tell if the stage is level ?

A. The drummer drools evenly from both sides of his mouth.

WHY are people so cruel to drummers??? ::

While Dave Clark WAS the drummer and featured name of the group, Mike Smith played keyboards and sang lead.
