Earth-Angel
Anything too rowdy and shouty - yes it's great, but it induces more road rage than is naturally present ! I found that while listening to ICP I was especially rage filled *grrr grrrr arrrrr* :beady: You also don't want anything too distracting.

Carl
There are a few songs with parts that sound like sirens. This drives me nuts because I look for the ambulance. I think one of them is by The Beastie Boys.
MindCrime
I think one of them is by The Beastie Boys. Sabotage? or that one song from Paul's Boutique. That's a perfect theme for a getaway chase. I heard a version of "Another Brick in the Wall" on the car radio earlier, it sounded like Korn or somebody. My insurance provider can't hold me responsible if I get into a wreck.
Catherine
Some songs lack that certain driving element, and it's not that the song and/or the band sucks. I love most of the bands and songs I'm listing. Also, some songs come so close to getting you going, but they don't quite cut it...frustrating. Unfortunately, a good listening tune does not it make a good driving tune: AC/DC - Rock and Roll Ain't Noise Pollution Aerosmith - Draw the Line Bad Company - Movin' On Bob Seger - Hollywood Nights Boston - Let Me Take You Home Tonight Billy Idol - (Forgot) to be a Lover Billy Joel - It's Still Rock and Roll to Me Billy Squier - In the Dark Cars - Cruiser CCR - Fortunate Son Chicago - Saturday in the Park Eagles - Victim of Love CSN - Suite Judy Blue Eyes Cult - Edie (Ciao Baby) David Bowie - Golden Years Deep Purple - Woman From Tokyo Def Leppard - Photograph Dire Straits - Skateaway Doobie Brothers - China Grove Doors - People Are Strange ELO - Evil Woman Elton John - Honkey Cat Eric Clapton - I Shot the Sheriff Fleetwood Mac - Dreams Foreigner - Cold as Ice Genesis - Abacab Guess Who - Hand Me Down World Guns & Roses - Don't Cry J. Geils Band - Love Stinks Kinks - Celluloid Heroes Led Zeppelin - Hey Hey What Can I Do Lynard Skynard - Don't Ask Me No Questions Moody Blues - Tuesday Afternoon Nirvana - All Apologies Ozzy - Mr. Crowley Pearl Jam - Corduroy Queen - Killer Queen RHCP's - Californication Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb Rolling Stones - Get Off of My Cloud Rush - New World Man Scorpions - Big City Nights Steve Miller Band - Fly Like an Eagle Styx - Fooling Yourself Tom Petty - The Waiting U2 - Where The Streets Have No Name Van Halen - Feel Your Love Tonight Van Morrison - Domino The Who - Squeeze Box Yes - I've See All Good People ZZ Top - Got Me Under Pressure

MindCrime
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb [*Gasp!] This is my ultimate favorite, I have my sub-woofers set just right, so that it echos perfectly while driving, as soon as the solo kicks in, that's the time I stop paying attention to the road, & relax to the soothing sounds of Gilmours brilliance. Catherine
[*Gasp!] This is my ultimate favorite I know - I'm sorry...I love this song too. I was so reluctant to list Comfortably Numb, but I did so because, while it is an amazing tune to blast in the car, and it sounds phenomenal, I think of a driving tune in terms of a song that will pick you up, not zone you out. :: ...like Run Like Hell.
