pinkstones
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/12/08/aretha-franklin-cancer-_n_793812.html It's rumored to be pancreatic cancer which as most of you know, has the highest mortality rate. It's what killed Patrick Swayze and Michael Landon, among others. I hope the time she spends with her family now is quiet and as painless as possible. pinkstones
Actually, no she won't. Dame (and the male equivalent Sir) are honorifics that are only allowed to be used by members of the Commonwealth. She could be knighted by the queen, but much like Bill Gates, she'd only be allowed to use the post-nominals "DBE" after her name.
