Ombre Vivante
I'm compiling songs for a birthday cd. The theme I'm going for are days and weekdays with, perhaps, ideas of time. Here's what I've got so far: Days of the week: "Sunday Sun" by Beck "Everyday Is Like Sunday" by Morrissey "Manic Monday" by The Bangles "Rainy Days And Mondays" by The Carpenters "Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon)" by The Moody Blues "Wednesday Week" by The Undertones "Thursday" by Asobi Seksu "Thursday's Child" by David Bowie "Friday, I'm In Love" by The Cure "Saturday Night" by The Bay City Rollers Days and time: "This Is The Day" by The The "Days Like This" by Van Morrison "These Are Days" by 10,000 Maniacs "Today" by The Smashing Popcorns "Forever Young" by Alphaville "Who Needs Forever?" by Astrud Gilberto "Prologue" and "Twilight" by ELO "Remember" by Air "One More Time" by Daft Punk "Holiday" by Madonna While not all songs will make the final cut, further suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I'm mainly looking for songs that have "Wednesday" in the title and lyrics as well as songs that have and include "Sunday"

Ombre Vivante
WHOAs! I knew y'all would come through with some superb song choices. The harder the selection, the better time I'll have compiling
blind-fitter
My first thought, which you had already included, was "Wednesday Week" by The Undertones, which happens to be an all-time favourite of mine. But the 'Tones also did a great song called "When Saturday Comes" I also just thought of "Mrs Thursday", by Dave Dee, Dozy, Beaky, Mick & Titch. But that's perhaps a bit obscure. Ombre Vivante
I just need to use a volume control so I can include the Wednesday song into the mix. If I cannot lower the recorded volume, I'm gonna have to go with another choice...

Ombre Vivante
It's that time of the year again I need to find birthday songs - any kind of song will do as long as it's "love-neutral." This is actually a tough request, as most songs look to be about love or heartbreak, or hint at both. The songs I'm tentatively thinking of have to do with having a great time, the day being great, etc. Message has to be positive, of course (although I wouldn't be opposed to a few songs about reminiscing of old days). All styles welcome, except for Rap, modern R&B, and Hip Hop I think this year I might consider more modern and/or more upbeat songs: "Beautiful Day" by POO2 "Daylight" by Matt And Kim "Exterior Street Day" by Generationals (once I get the lyrics) Any further suggestions will be appreaciated
Shawna
first song that jumped to my mind when I read "day being great" is "Perfect Day" from the Legally Blonde soundtrack. Perfect Day ~ Hoku
bazooka
Message has to be positive, of course (although I wouldn't be opposed to a few songs about reminiscing of old days). Strange days indeed Nobody Told Me - John Lennon
Ombre Vivante
- I'd also like suggestions of songs that actually say "happy birthday" or "many happy returns" (like ABC's "Many Happy Returns" from The Lexicon Of Love). - One person will have a birthday months way in the future in May, so songs that mention the month of May or related would be cool. - The person's a gemini, so gemini songs, though raer, would be totally awersome ("Gemini Dream," "Gemini Moon," etc.). - Any songs that mention "blue eyes," not necessarily the title, but within the song as well: "Living On Video" and "Temptation" mention blue eyes. - The challenge still being that they must be love and heartbreak-neutral. Great suggestions so far
edna
Lady Madonna- The Beatles I think that mentions every day of the week Yes. And "Satellite of Love" - Lou Reed. It mentions Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
