Lea
Where's all the love for Comfortably Numb? It's a masterpiece! I voted for it To be honest it's not even one of three of my favorite PF songs. They however are one of my top two favorite groups depending on my mood. Sometimes "The Beatles" have the top spot. Comfortably Numb did take my 3rd spot tho so that just goes to show how much of a fan I am I didn't even vote for my favorite PF song for this ten. Time holds that spot. I nominated "Have a Cigar" because it did well in the TT so I felt it was a good song to represent PF and the 70's
pinkstones
I'm glad most of you have voted for it, I'd love to see it in the top 3 of the final list. That said, I don't know how anyone can dislike Pink Floyd, but to each their own.
Farin
That said, I don't know how anyone can dislike Pink Floyd, but to each their own. I could make a loooooong list of bands where I don't understand why not everybody likes them like I do
Lea
Dito me Farin. I was the only one that voted on my White Wolf song (well my mommie did but...) and I could name several others that got not so much as a vote. I think we're the only one's here that like Manu Chao Bongo Bong

MindCrime
Regarding the Comfortably Numb discussion... I wouldn't be surprised if that song (or any Floyd songs) don't make it in at all. That's the problem with vote-splitting and why Rolling Stones didn't make it in the 60's list. That's the reason why I didn't nominate Stairway to Heaven on this one, because I knew it didn't stand a chance.
edna
I could make a loooooong list of bands where I don't understand why not everybody likes them like I do And me too... though we probably won' t list the same bands but anyways... I think we're the only one's here that like Manu Chao Bongo Bong Oh, I do like some Chao stuff... "Me gustas tú" and that one that goes "je ne sais plus, je suis perdu" and "Clandestino" and others as well...
Levis
Why must absence of like ==> dislike? I have nothing against Manu Chao I'm just not gaga over him.
edna
I'm not a fan... I just like some of his songs.

Farin
ooh, I see Manu Chao's solo efforts are much more relaxed though... more into a reggae, folky (think Jack Johnson) way
The Seeker
Hmm, I'm afraid I can't stand Jack Johnson and that sort of music

Lucky
Even harder than the Super Ultimate Top 10? I agree with that, becasue to my way of thinking the 70's produced more great music than any other decade period. In the Ultimate there were at least a couple songs I didn't like ... not so with this vote.
MindCrime
No, but there was a lot of Beatles, Stones, Who, etc along with the great music of the 70s and other decades.
Lucky
That's true. But for this I voted differently. Basically each of my votes this time was for individual songs that best represented the 70's, not so much my favorite songs. I basically have a song from each of my favorite "supergroups" an R&B, a southern rock, a disco, and so forth. Something to represent all the important styles & genres and artists of the 70's.
