bluesboy Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 Some big band blues... Little Milton - I'm Gonna Move to the Outskirts of Town
Foolonthehill Posted December 29, 2008 Report Posted December 29, 2008 wow that's cool Little Milton is fictional character Gerald Bostock's nickname in the liner notes (newspaper) for Thick As A Brick. I had never heard of the real Little Milton. Ian Anderson must have done it on purpose, but I didn't know before this. It's really cool all the random stuff he manages to put in there, you have to read the newspaper many times before you get it all.
bluesboy Posted December 29, 2008 Author Report Posted December 29, 2008 Little Milton started recording songs in the late 1950's.
Foolonthehill Posted December 30, 2008 Report Posted December 30, 2008 yeah I guess Ian Anderson took the name from him Anderson was probably a fan, Tull did a lot of bluesy stuff early in their career
bluesboy Posted December 30, 2008 Author Report Posted December 30, 2008 Yeah, I know. The first album with Mick Abrahams has elements of blues, rock and jazz.
Farin Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 is there a way to find out what artists don't allow their songs on youtube?
bluesboy Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 That would save me alot of time. I'm making a mental note of each artist. It's starting to happen more and more. Pretty soon I'll have to make a file.
Farin Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 exactly! to make matters more complicated, eg 'Eels' seem to allow some songs, and others not
Levis Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 So does anyone else get messages from people telling them where to get MORE stuff by the artists they put up?
The Seeker Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 No, people just assume I know everything already :evencooler:
Levis Posted January 5, 2009 Report Posted January 5, 2009 My videos are so unheard of, they're still up If they have to come down I'm betting KS or Mansun will be the first to fall.
c_s_1987 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 Finally... my first YouTube. Of course, it is the video that has been most sorely missing from YouTube for the past few years: Bow River - Cold Chisel (studio version) I see I have a long way to go to catch up with Fin's YouTube success. 40 friends, 142 subscribers and around 500,000 views - damn!
Lucky Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 There, you're on your way, with your first 5 star rating, from me. I really do like that song, btw.
c_s_1987 Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 4 views and 5 stars already. Songfacts is a great place to advertise videos.
The Seeker Posted January 9, 2009 Report Posted January 9, 2009 (edited) 8 views and 5 stars times two now. edit: Wow... I've got 760,000 video views This is the first time I've come across this summary page. Edited January 9, 2009 by Guest
