Tenacious_Peaches
A classic list for an important milestone. Bravo! Thanks to everyone involved for your hard work. Better you than me.
blind-fitter
ah well... the results were to be expected... Oh, I dunno. Right now, the glass is half-full, rather than half-empty. I consider "Waterloo Sunset" edging The Beatles off the top spot to be something of a triumph, even though I had nothing to do with it being nominated. Things are moving in the right direction. Who knows: in about 20 years time, we might even get a 90s/00s song topping the Ten! As you said: the quality of nominations overall was much improved, even though only a few personal favourites ultimately made it in. Well done, everybody! miamisammy29
Frank Sinatra? That guy couldn't carry a tune in a duffle bag. However....THE KINKS RULE!! Ehh, decent Ten. It could use a little more punk, though.

Steel2Velvet
Paul Anka wrote "My Way." I heard Anka sing it once and it seemed to me he was trying to imitate Sinatra. Elvis recorded the song, released it and I suppose wished it could have been HIS signature song. However, no one sang it or lived it better than Ol' Blue Eyes. TheLizard
Ehh, decent Ten. It could use a little more punk, though. Well I tried that, and only one other person (guess...) voted for it. But seriously, this is a good ten.
skybluesky
I thought Alison would squeak in there. Bless my Peaches' hide for voting for Ryan and his "I'm too cool to shower" self.

skybluesky
I think we were the only votes my dirty little cherub got. Oh well, with it being the centenary, and me being rg, I had to nominate him.
Tenacious_Peaches
Now I'm thoroughly ashamed of myself for not nominating a D song.
OLD 55
CONGRATULATIONS LARS ON NOMINATING #1 FOR TOP TEN 100. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy, and it's a great song.
edna
Paul Anka wrote "My Way." Once again, I have to defend my culture... Actually, that song was written by Claude François and Paul Anka made the English version... The original is called "Comme d´habitude" and it´s here: "Comme d´habitude" - CloClo
Lucky
CONGRATULATIONS LARS ON NOMINATING #1 FOR TOP TEN 100. It couldn't happen to a nicer guy, and it's a great song. This is a great ten, but the song that pleases me the most on the list is the #1, Waterloo Sunset. It's been nominated a few times, and was first nominated back in Top Ten #5. It only took another 95 weeks to get this great song into the Ten! Congrats to Dappled, and Old55, and Katie, all of whom have nominated it at some time or other! Yay for Ol' Blue Eyes, and Lee Michaels as well!
The Seeker
Oasis There's a 90s song in TT #100 and no one cares much? ('cept for Radhi) Anyway... great list I think. I;ve to admit I don't know all the songs, but Waterloo Sunset's one of my favourites and there are some other really nice songs as well.
Lucky
I couldn't vote for it (not enough room!) but I do like that song Seek!
