OLD 55
Peter Green got 23 points in 3 posts! And if my son-in-law was here, it would have been 10 more from him for bazooka ! He is mad about the 'old Peter Green' Fleetwood Mac. I must confess the only two I really know well are the beautiful 'Albatross' and 'Man Of The World'. I haven't heard 'Green Manalishi' enough to appreciate it.
Dappled
What a fine son-in-law you have; lucky you! Is it the same one who digs Dylan? There are some great Peter Green songs on Then Play On: the long version of Oh Well! and the very moving song Closing My Eyes. Fleetwood Mac toured often in Sweden in the late 60s and I went to their concerts 3 times! They were great!

Sweet Jane 61
Love that Rare Earth made #1 and cool that Sly and the Family Stone made it, awesome!!
edna
Nice Top!! "Get Ready" should have made it long ago... Pilot, Sly & The Family Stone and The Church, nice mix...
Lea
Yeah my Beatles song made number #5 I was beginning to wonder if it would make the list. Best song Ringo ever sang, I love the way his voice sounds in this. Kind of surprised King of the Road is so far down on the list. I thought it would be quite high. It looked like it got a lot of votes. I had never known the name of Under The Milky Way but remembered hearing it when I watched the vid. I think I voted it pretty high on my list. Nice list

blue_n_white
Great to see Rare Earth at the top. I saw them in concert sometime in the early 80's at a small club and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. Also happy to see "King Of The Road" make it. Love that song. Great list. blind-fitter
Yeah my Beatles song made number #5 I was beginning to wonder if it would make the list. Beatles songs always make the list. :sleepy: Three songs in there that I like*, so I suppose I shouldn't grumble. *The Church, Marley, S&TFS

bazooka
A recount is in order. The Green Manalishi scored 33 points, not 25 as per the Archive ( [smallest] 3 from sammy, 7 from bluesboy, my own 10, 5 from Katie Sane, and 8 from Dappled[/smallest]) -- unless points were deducted for failure to mention the Two-Prong Crown. The Seeker
I'll explain things in a second, just want to post the revised ten and archive first. [big]REVISED Top Ten:[/big] 1. The Seeker
I updated the original Top Ten and the Archive. It seems that I overlooked Dappled's votes and didn't count them, and failed to check back to see if I'd included everyone. I'm truly sorry that this happened. Fortunately the Ten didn't change that much; Time Is On My Side is now #1 (instead of Get Ready) and The Hollies kicked Sly & The Family Stone out again. My only excuse is my retardedness and a bit of a fever.
