Hi All. Thanks for the Greetings. :)

I agree with leaving the final ten until all the nominations are up.

Like 'King Of The Road'. That will leapfrog a few others I was tossing around.

Isn't it terrible when you see so many good songs (most weeks) and you have to narrow them down to ten, and leave out ones that you really would like to vote for.

There's quite a few I have to listen to this week, but YouTube is going very slow at the moment for me, so I'll try again later.

:P

When she's saying, oh, that she wants only me

then I wonder why she sleeps with my friends...

when she's saying, oh, that I'm like a disease

then I wonder how much more I can spend...

Well I guess I should stick up for myself

but I really think it's better this way...

the more you suffer, the more it shows you really care!

Right? Yeah...

Shake, Rattle and Roll (the original) Big Joe Turner originally 1941, this version from the 50's. Big Joe is one of the true grandpappies of rock and roll. You should check out some of his other hits like Flip Flop and Fly, Boobie Woogie Country Girl, Honey Hush (yes, that one), Bump Miss Suzie, Well All Right, The Chicken and the Hawk, Corrine Corrina (uh huh)and many, many others.

Stop! Stop~! Stop!-The Hollies-1966

I first heard this one while listening to Radio Caroline, a pirate radio station off the coast of England in 1966. I was in the US Army stationed in West Germany. I had just gotten over there and was awaiting my TS Clearance so I was on guard duty at the time. What a great song for a lonely GI.

I was thrilled to discover Radio Caroline (and a few other Pirate Stations). They played all the current hits, album cuts, etc. from The US and UK.

They were my constant companion until the Brits outlawed them. Then it was on to Radio Luxembourg...but that's a story for another day.

Ok...I've changed my list now about six times already :smirk: three of the songs on my list I had never heard before but really kinda like.

Now, please don't nominate anymore good songs. Bad songs ok, good songs  because I don't think I have anymore songs on my list I can move off.

Thank you for your time
