  1. I also have a myspace, and visit bebo a lot too. At the moment all the websites I look at seem to be either homework related, to do with universities, school, or the bank.
  2. Darryl, I haven't been on songfacts for so long that I've missed this, I'm not religious, but I wish you all the best for a quick recovery...
  3. I almost cried when I heard about this, it's just so sad. Our flag at school was flown at half mast. I especially feel for his two little kids.
  4. Oh dear I don't really get even half of these, but i got: "Ho ho ho green Ashley" "It makes your lonelyday smack" "Happiness is a cigar called Ashley" "Do the lonelyday."
  5. I can't believe I can't remember this, but I guess I was only 9 and wouldn't have really understood that kind of thing. Some of the information is inaccurate, I found out about it at: http://www.crime.co.nz/c-files.asp?ID=302 "The Anderson family had invited family and friends from Wellington to join them at their ski lodge for what was a long public holiday weekend. By days end on February 8, six people would be dead and four wounded through the actions of Stephen Lawrence Anderson a 25 year old unemployed man of Wellington, a young man with a history of mental illness. The dead included Neville Robin Anderson, 60, Anthony Gordon McCarty, 63, John Frederick Mathews, 28, Stephen Mark Hansen, 38, Andrea Joy Brander, 52, all of Wellington and Hendrick Dirk Van de Wetering, 51, of Raurimu... Anderson had had a history of mental illness since being diagnosed in 1995 as schizophrenic. Although prescribed drugs for this condition, his family doubted that he had been taking these drugs as regularly as prescribed... Anderson was found not guilty of murder by reason of insanity. He will be detained in hospital indefinitely as a special patient." It's really scary... as far as I know there have been no school shootings in NZ, although I think we have a high teen depression/ suicide rate.
  6. woah backpacks banned from schools, and clear backpacks having to be worn? I don't think we have a problem with weapons being taken to school here, i guess just coz we don't have a history of any issues with this, and drugs... i dunno, one school nearby has started having bagchecks every morning to try and deal with this, but i don't think we have a big problem with that either. I think I did the same thing, except i probably only ate one flower... i was a really fussy eater. My cousin also tried to make me eat grass when I was little, but being a whole 1 month older than her i seemed to have more sense and didn't.
  7. I went shopping on Thursday night, first I left my wallet in the bathroom- I was so lucky it was still there when i realised it was missing. I went home forgetting my schoolbag which I had left at my friend's work, and since it's half an hour drive I ended up just getting it the next day. Plus I hadn't eaten and I bought a handbag for my school ball only to return it on Saturday after I had come to my senses and realised it was ugly and way too big. Everything comes in threes.
  8. Hey, I'm trying to find a long version of About A Girl by Nirvana, i have a version which is 2 minutes 48 and i've also managed to find a 3 minute 36 version from an MTV unplugged in New York recording, but I'm not sure if that's what I want. I'm looking for it as background music for a media thing so if anyone knows if there are any other longer versions or where I could find them your help would be appreciated. Thanks
  9. she's right, marmite however is great! As for the whole Dragon being classed as Aussie or Kiwi I guess they are both, although some on either side would argue, all that really matters is that they make good music. We have quite a funny ad running on tv about the Australians stealing everything from us, Pavlova, Crowded House, Dragon etc.
  10. Here's where you can share the stupid things you've heard or seen.. or even done yourself. My sister today: "Emo's not just a look, it's a religion"
  11. ummm... not sure how much help i've been, i've only been on a plane once, and it was a 20minute flight, but i'm going to spain soon which will be a LOT longer. You can get airpoints cards, at least here you can, and the points add up to free flights, that's about all I know, my friend is trying to make me get one.
  12. You're right it is prettier, but i have to use the shift button and stretch my little finger out to do it, and that's just too much hard work for me, which is why i use the -. until this conversation i had no idea that every little symbol had a name.
  13. i like that idea, you should do it, yay for making music videos! you don't have to worry about sound at all.
  14. Wow, I'm so jealous, i wish i had any musical talent left. I'll even add you guys to my myspace because I can. By the way, how old are you? the whole American grade system is just a big void of confusion to me.
  15. i tend to break into song a lot, although whether i can actually sing is debateable, songs from musicals usually, like the wizard of oz, grease, charlie and the chocolate factory, chicago... and i sing New York New York quite a lot.
  16. personally i'm not really too fussed about dressing rooms, it's more annoying shop assistants who stick their heads through to see how you're going when your getting changed that bother me.
  17. For those of you who think NZ is all lord of the rings mountains and bush, we've got plenty more to offer, such as.... Foodtown... My lovely workplace( not actually the store i work in btw, and i'm not one of the crazy people in the photo either) Probably the most impressive, is just in auckland: and then of course theres the beaches: and the road to our bach I have such a way of making everything about me, except for the skytower, not sure how i could twist that exactly, what was this thread about again?
  18. no, if i ever have money spare i'd probably spend it on something more practical, and i don't think i'll ever be that unhappy with myself to do that, it always makes me so sad watching shows like extreme makeover where those people have such little self esteem and are so down on themselves because of their looks.
  19. they came to the bdo, but only in aussie so i didn't get to see them, i've heard good things about them though, and i think 1 song on the radio
  20. Here's the deal, you let other songfactors know of the details of your latest dream whether it was scary or just really crazy and out of it. Then... everyone can give their own analysis of what the dream really means or just comment on how odd you are for being the only person in the history of the world to have dreamed that crazy scenario up... whatever. If the thread actually works it should provide some form of entertainment for everyone or you'll just end up being continually annoyed by me relaying my random dreams to you week after week. So yeah... I can't actually remember my last night's dream but once i had this crazy dream where it was as if I was half awake and knew I was dreaming, I was at school and for some reason there were two of my friend Jesse? Whatever could this mean?
  21. For some reason it's been pretty sunny and warm, which is odd considering we're heading into winter.
  22. I have a vague memory of watching silent films of Charlie Chaplin at my grandparents house when I was little, or them watching them anyway. I haven't seen any others, but maybe I should.
  23. Let Her Cry- Hootie and The Blowfish
  24. 10/10 I love pretty much anything with pasta. I'm eating white chocolate, and I'm a little worried, I'm so stocked up with chocolate after my birthday and easter that it's becoming quite and addiction.
