  1. Mine too, so much so that I bought the soundtrack after I saw it. Best scene was the ballroom sequence that Jennifer Connelly ( ) hallucinates.
  2. I think she was 14 or, at most, 15. I think the lowest age of consent here in the US is 16 for girls, so it still falls short of it. I don't think Polanski is a paedophile as, say, Gary Glitter and Pete Townshend are, but the law is the law.
  3. Plotting a strategy. I'm excited, but in a way that makes me feel uneasy and hopeless, and then I laugh a nervous, rueful laughter like a manic. Aimez-vous Brahms? I could ask - and the moment could break like my voice!

"Suzy Q"? Like the song by Creedence Clearwater? There's also "Susanna" by The Art Company Susannas are Suzys
  6. The one sing-song by them which really struck a nerve with me is "This Picture." I understood that one as losing a friendship because he likes her more than that...
  7. Saw them years ago on the Pop Trash tour, but it was sans all the group. It was weird seeing guys like Warren take the place of the renown band mates, but he carried it off well, actually. Their music had a weird melancholic, decadent tone, which is very unlike the fab five of yore, but I liked it a lot. I couldn't see them when they were here in CA recently 'cause of school
  8. Dudes... stop being such a neomaxizoomdweebie about this, alright? I did a few things in school that also ended up on MY PERMANENT RECARD :: First things last. You don't have "a small part" in this. You're a co-conspirator - and a funny one, I might add. This was funny, great, and all, but if you feel guilt or remorse and want to do the right thing, then step up and face the music. You don't wanna rat out your friends? Then just tell them your part. If the school punishes you for not turning in the others, then you're gonna have to take the rap for that too. That's what keeping respect amongst your peers is gonna cost ya Then YOU can push the other two around for not fessing up!
  9. I love that Dandy Warhols' song I dunno why, but first song that came to mind was Placebo's "Bitter End"...
  10. To-day... was good. It felt good. I feel excited now, but at the time I had this weird... comfortable numbness. No pretense, no nodding off, no boredom. Perhaps I just like hearing myself talk, but I can really take to conversations when things flow my way
  11. I have to work on this show! I can do casting! Hell! I can be gaffer or key grip... or BEST BOY! I can be BEST BOY
  12. Big difference. If Lifeson lands in jail for punching a cop, he'd be revered Dude kicks insurmountable amounts of arse, but MJ... if that guy landed in jail for molesting a kid... whoo wee
  13. Both circumstances are shady. MJ 'cause of the obvious, but the parents of this kid aren't saints either. They're out to get money and lie to get it, and it looks as if both the accuser and the accused have been tried and found guilty by the media. Same thing happened to that dumbass, Kobe Bryant, where it was assumed he raped a whore and now she wanted millions for it by taking it to the courts. It's like they say, you play with fire, you get burned. The lesson to be learned here is, if you're some 40-year old guy, don't sleep with other people's kids in the same bed, and if you're a basketball star, don't have sex with potential moneygrubbing whores without signing something before the action starts.
  14. The thing about censorship is that once it's applied, everything is cut with the same axe. That's why it sucks. People who censor and edit are retarded and have no common sense whatsoever. They'll use the same rule to censor guys like Frank Zappa that they use to censor Gangsta Rap. Personally, I don't think either one should be. It's the job of the parents to monitor and tell their kids what is proper and what is not. Otherwise, we're all living in the same plastic bubble that the lowest common denominator has to be protected in.
  15. Either Hagnesta Hill or Isola Thing about Isola is that it is Kent's biggest-selling album here in the US and one of their singles, "If You Were Here," got video and radio airplay back in 1998. This was their first English recording (with Hagnesta Hill being the other one that was recorded in both languages). It would be awesome to re-surface this little Swedish gem
  16. Hahaha. I like this idea. You should pitch it to Fox
  17. Does this mean we also get to see the time people spend in front of the teevee and computer?
  18. One thing I noticed are the two posters: one named "thatguy" and the other "thatgirl"... any relation
  19. Their sound heavily resembles The Smiths. I remember getting into them years ago because of it. You might also like The Trashcan Sinatras ::
  20. It's England, so you gotta convert to pounds sterling... but I doubt Eminem would pay attention to detail
