Yes yes! Those are hilarious! "Barbara Anne" by The Beach Boys is funny because they all mess up and get tongue tied at the end "Boris The Spider" The Who "Horse With No Name" America-- I doubt it was meant to be funny, but the lyrics where they say "... cause there ain't no one for to give you no name..." just absolutely crack me up. Carl
I'll agree with the Arlo Guthrie and raise you "Rock Lobster" by the B-52s ("Here comes the dogfish - woof, woof). I'm not much of an Offspring fan, but "Pretty Fly For A White Guy" is inspired. I like when he tries to buy Ice Cube but gets Vanilla Ice.

Uncle Joe
Anything by Bonzo Dog Band. The Monty Python parodies. Firesign Theater parodies, too.
Uncle Joe
Other humorous tunes that I like are Stan Freberg's version of Sh-Boom (1954) and Homer & Jethro's version of Sink the Bismarck: Oh, right Fiji...how could I ever forget Stan Freeberg? Especially love his Christmas songs and characters.

edna
There is a Dutch band called Gruppo Sportivo. They are good musicians and make fun of many clichés. And that Bob Dylan song (what´s its name???) "I was riding in the Mayflower..." Guess it´s "Bob Dylan´s Dream# something"...

audioslave
You're right Batman - The Streets are really hysterical - I posted them on the get the word out forum several months ago - and the videos I've seen from them are great. Here's a John Prine song that always makes me laugh - it's one of our sing along in the car songs- Dear Abby From: Great Days: The John Prine Anthology Dear Abby, Dear Abby ... My feet are too long My hair's falling out and my rights are all wrong My friends they all tell me that I've no friends at all Won't you write me a letter, Won't you give me a call Signed Bewildered Bewildered, Bewildered... Chorus: You have no complaint You are what your are and you ain't what you ain't So listen up Buster, and listen up good Stop wishing for bad luck and knocking on wood Dear Abby, Dear Abby... My fountain pen leaks My wife hollers at me and my kids are all freaks Every side I get up on is the wrong side of bed If it weren't so expensive I'd wish I were dead Signed Unhappy Unhappy, Unhappy... Repeat Chorus Dear Abby, Dear Abby... You won't believe this But my stomach makes noises whenever I kiss My girlfriend tells me It's all in my head But my stomach tells me to write you instead Signed Noise-maker Noise-maker, Noise-maker Repeat Chorus Dear Abby, Dear Abby... Well I never thought That me and my girlfriend would ever get caught We were sitting in the back seat just shooting the breeze With her hair up in curlers and her pants to her knees Signed Just Married Just Married, Just Married... Repeat Chorus Album Lyrics: Great Days: The John Prine Anthology [1993]
