OLD 55
Pretty predictable - and the right #1 for all you romantics ( or wannabees out there ) ... " I'm Not in love -so don't forget it , it's just a sillly phase I'm going through... " ( Believe it or not- I sound 'golden' singing this on Karoke ! -I can still make the young girls cry ! Can I do the whisper part ? (Whisper: big boys don't cry; big boys don't cry.) Thanks Kevin for leaving your sick bed and voting for that lovely song. It wouldn't have gotten to #1 without you ! It was tied for first until then, but would have lost on a countback at that stage. You didn't know that of course. Dappled's Do You Believe In Magic would have been a perfectly acceptable #1 though. And we got to 1 and 2 without flaunting ourselves and promising all sorts of favors too, hey Dappled ! We're not Vote Tarts. (I hope it doesn't get to the stage where we have to put beefcake photos of ourselves on there just to win votes. I haven't been asked to do any Calendar shots for a while.) Kevin, my Karaoke special is You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin' with my younger daughter. I sing the Bill Medley part and she does the Bobby Hatfield, because I can't reach those high notes unless I'm wearing really tight trousers. It was good to see such a varied Top Ten. About time the old Boz got in, and of course two great 50s songs. Something for everyone !
Farin
And we got to 1 and 2 without flaunting ourselves and promising all sorts of favors too, hey Dappled ! We're not Vote Tarts. well it seems that this is the only way that some "mature" (ahem) people voted for real music for a change
