Uncle Joe
^ I've snubbed the embassy in Spain again. < They never have good beer there. v Now, the American Embassy in Germany.....
Farin
^ I'm sure they have the best < and they're also building a whole new Embassy right between the Brandenburg gate and the Holocaust Memorial v you're living close to a famous sight/landmark
Uncle Joe
^ True, Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Ryan Howard. < You don't visit the tourist attractions in your own town do you? v Do you?
Jenny
^ Our town doesn't have any except the winter ski/summer water park area, and I was at the water park once last year...... > as for historic landmarks, I don't live too far from the Statue of Liberty and have never been there. Shawna
^ Just last week, in fact. > We stayed at a friend's apartment in New Orleans which is right across the street from where the Louisiana Purchase was signed, and we didn't go to that building. We did, however, eat alligator. V What's the weirdest "bonafide" dish you've ever eaten?
skybluesky
Not weird, but the most unusal to my normal pallate has been Rocky Mountain Oysters RMOs are male cow reproductive glands. They basically taste like a tenderloin. I like them. Does your geographic area feature unusal dishes?
Uncle Joe
^ You should see the babe who just walked past my house. < Want a Philly cheesesteak? v Or would you prefer some scrapple?
_Laurie_
^ I'd love a Philly Cheesesteak right now... < I am craving a Philly Cheesesteak, since you mentioned it.. V What are you craving?
skybluesky
Lord, certainly not scrapple. I am craving pie after seeing the movie Waitress, esp. lemon meragne with merange about an inch thick and nicely browned. What are you craving?
_Laurie_
Shrimp cocktail < I love shrimp, almost as much as salami V Do you like seafood?
skybluesky
I DO love seafood. I like shrimp, scallops, lobster, and many kinds of fish including catfish and salmon. Salmon, broccoli, and bananas are good for balancing anxiety. Do you eat certain foods because they are good for you?
MarcM
No, I eat certain foods that taste good. Dipping Dots ice cream is just a bunch of hype. Ever had it?
skybluesky
yep it ain't so great I love ice cream. I like most all Ben & Jerry's flavors, but plain mint chocolate chip is my favorite Do you prefer chunky or smooth ice cream?
MarcM
I guess it depends on the ice cream My 2 favorites are one of each (peanut butter & chocolate is chunky, Gold Medal Ribbon is vanilla ice cream with fudge and caramel swirls is velvety smooth) Both come from 31 Flavors. Ever had a "Chocolate Blast" from 31 Flavors?
Uncle Joe
No, what are her hours? Ice cream is the no. 1 enemy of diabetics. I'm victimized often. Do you have a favorite flavor?
edna
^ Pistaccio. But with no little bits on it. And what I don´t like at all is chocolate and hazelnuts. Atually I hate hazelnuts. And you? V
The Seeker
^ my favourite flavour is chocolate. < I hate hazelnuts, walnuts, macadamia nuts, peanuts, pistachios and so on. And not just in ice cream. v What about you?
Levis
^ I like nuts in icecream... I like them more than the ice cream itself < And I like icecream on a stick more than ice cream on a cone. Ice cream on a cone must compensate by having some funky chocolate wafer things or nuts on top. v what's your favourite flavour and/or type of ice cream?
