edna
^ Night life. I live in a city that was like a small town many years ago. We almost know each other. Do you like big cities? V
MarcM
No. I hate crowds. I do like my street in my little tract. We are in the middle of a pretty big valley that is still growing. Traffic in my area sucks. How about where you live?
edna
^ Awful. But I´m used to it. I live on a big avenue and I love the city lights and so, I was born in a real big city and the soft sound of the traffic (from a 6th floor...) is like a lullaby for me... And you? skybluesky
My apartment faces a highway that is fairly heavily trafficked. I don't mind it so much. I do hate hearing sirens when ambulances and cop cars are going somewhere down the highway Do you like the sounds of traffic?
Shawna
^ when it's white noise, it's all right. When it's loud thumping stereos, sirens, backfires - anything that stands out, I don't like it so much. > I live on a fairly quiet street, so it's not too bad at night. V Would you be able to sleep where there's no traffic noise at all? Not even "white" noise?
skybluesky
Yes. I have to have quiet when I sleep. And complete darkness. I also sleep on my right side curled into a ball and rarely leave that position all night. Do you have particular sleeping habits?
edna
^ Yes, I need a bed and clean sheets. And also a shower. I could never go to bed without having a bath or a shower. And you? V
MarcM
I like to listen to "Coast to Coast AM" when I am going to sleep. I always go to sleep on my right side and like to prop myself up by grabbing a pillow . Do you wake in the same position you went to sleep in? _Laurie_
^ Not usually < I also go to sleep on my right side and grab my pillow... V Do you?
edna
^ Sometimes. Oher times I just wake up and I ignore how I slept unless my husband tells me he had to put me in some right position or remove some pillow or turn off the light, etc... You´re going to have breakfast and go to work now. V
MarcM
Nope. Winding down and going to bed soon. It's Trash Day Eve. I need to move the barrels out front. When is your trash day?
Jenny
^ Wednesday. > Because it's bear country, we have to put the trash out the morning of collection so we don't encourage them garbage picking. V Have you seen a bear (and not in the zoo)? (I have)
skybluesky
yep. Here in WY we got all sorts a critters I've seen bear, moose, mountain lions, praire dogs and many more, but I still hate living here. DO you like the zoo?
Uncle Joe
^ Sophia and I love the zoo. I always have. < On the way to my grandaughter Georgia's Christening yesterday my brother-in-law ran over a groundhog. I was afraid he'd take it's carcass home to grind up and include in his world-famous "guess what's in 'em" meatballs. He's sick that way. v Ever kill what you've eaten (exclucing fish). edna
^ Oh, of course not... Once we hit a rabbit with the car it was late at night and my husband said "Let´s get it and I´ll cook it" I almost got divorced after that... Same question... Jenny
^ No, never hunted for my food. > When I was a kid, we raised chickens. When they got big enough, I did watch my "pet" chicken get prepared for the cooking pot. V Ever have a strange pet?
edna
^ A little frog. We brought it home from the park near the school. We put it on the balcony and it jumped six floors down. My brother decided we´d burry "him" and when we went down the street the frog was alive. We brought it back to the same balcony and next day we went to school again and totally forgot about it. Kids do strange things. V
