Tenacious_Peaches
Okay, I'll start a thread for new riddles, but leave the old one up for you sentimental fools. So this is a clean slate...any riddle goes, including ones that may have been mentioned in the old one. I'll start. Mrs. Shady is lying dead on a bed, and on the floor beside it is a pair of scissors. The scissors were instrumental in her death, yet there is no trace of blood. Mrs. Shady's body reveals no signs of any cuts or bruises. How could she have been murdered with the pair of scissors?
daslied
1. She was in a hospital bed and on life support, and the scissors were used to cut the cord. Or she was taking oxygen, and the tube was cut. 2. She slipped on the scissors and broke her neck falling onto the bed. Um, I guess someone placed the scissors there. 3. A gas leak was caused when the line was cut, assuming the scissors could cut metal.
Tenacious_Peaches
Those weren't what I was thinking of, but #1 is certainly a reasonable answer. I'll give you 9/10 credit for it. You lost the 1/10 only because you should be able to read my mind at this point. If no one else guesses what my intended answer was, you can have it, das. Tenacious_Peaches
Nope, Farin, but good thinking. Shall I throw out a hint yet?
Farin
She needed some medications, but couldn't open the box, bag, whatever it was, because the scissors were on the floor... If that isn't correct, I'll request a hint please

daslied
X X X X Each of these four X's represents a whole five letter word. Each word is made up of the same five letters, rearranged each time to form a different word. The whole sentence describes a girl who loses her food to a poet. Jenny
Okay, here goes. I didn't make it up so I take no credit for it being too easy or too hard: There are two plastic jugs filled with water. How could you put all of this water into a barrel, without using the jugs or any dividers, and still tell which water came from which jug?
daslied
Jugs. Tee hee.
Tenacious_Peaches
^ Dork. Jenny, that's a good one. I know the answer, but I'll see if someone else will guess. I own the game Mindtrap and know way too many of these riddles to really compete. I try to only answer the ones I figure out on my own.
Farin
i first thought about colouring the water in one jug, but that wouldn't work now, would it? Let me think...
Shawna
Empty one jug into the barrel, then pour it back out, then empty the other into the barrel...?
Jenny
No, no coloring the water... Also, you can't use the jug to pour the water, so Shawna's answer won't work either. Should I give a hint?
Shawna
hints are good. I'm awful at riddles.
