Guess The Song From The Lyrics

Recommended Posts

I noticed that we have a movie-quote game, but no such game about lyrics.

So, how about it? :)

From what song is this?

"goes far, flies near, to the stars away from here"

That is Magic Carpet Ride - Steppenwolf

What song is this?

So I drifted down to New Orleans

Where I happened to be employed

Workin' for a while on a fishin' boat

Right outside of Delacroix

Play That Funky Music....

Oh Yeah...love that tune...

And my tires were slashed and I almost crashed, but the Lord had mercy

And my machine, she's a dud, out stuck in the mud somewhere in the swamps of Jersey...

Rosalita - Bruce Springsteen???

Are we allowed to Google or not, Farin?(I didn't, just in case we're not)

It was only kiss

How could it happen like this?

It was only a kiss

It was only a kiss

I can't really keep you from it, but I think it would take the fun out of it... :P

It would be best, if we don't google voluntarily...

Edna, I think it's only you and me who want to play this game... :P

London Calling ~ The Clash

War bellows lazing in scarlet batallions

Generals order their soldiers to kill

And to fight for a cause, they've long ago forgotten...

Simon and Garfunkel- Scarborough fair canticle??

"I won't suffer, be broken, get tired, or wasted

Surrender to nothing, or give up what I

Started and stop it, from end to beginning

A new day is coming, and I am finally free"

Attack ~ 30 seconds to Mars (never heard of this song, a friend of mine knew it)

I can't sleep tonight,

everybodys saying everything is alright,

still I can't close my eyes,

I'm seeing a tunnel at the end of all these lights...

The main reason, why I wanted to exclude Google in this game, was that I thought it would be no fun. That's the main prerogative.

If you acn this game more with using Google, then please do so...

Okay, I googled....it's Travis "Why Does it Always Rain on Me?"

I agree with you about Google, Farin, I like racking my brain to a degree, but sometimes, you have to save a dying thread....so I did.

Enough stalling, here are my lyrics:

"I'm a juvenile product of the working class

Whose best friend floats in the bottom of a glass"

Thank you for doing CPR on this thread, Jenny :coolio:

that's "Saturday Night's Alright (for fighting)" by Sir Elton John

"When I die and they lay me to rest,

gonna go to the place that's the best"
